Ro 6:1 | We may not live in sin; |
Ro 6:1 | ¶ What1 shall2 we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? |
Ro 6:2 | for we are dead unto it; |
Ro 6:2 SURRENDERED LIFE, THE | God3 forbid. How4 shall we, that are dead5 to sin, live6 any longer therein? |
Ro 6:3 | as appears by our baptism. |
Ro 6:3 CHURCH, THE | Know ye7 not, that so many of us as were baptized8 into Jesus Christ were baptized9 into his death? |
Ro 6:4 LIFE OUT OF DEATH NEW MAN WALK OF BELIEVERS | Therefore we are10 buried with him by baptism into death: that11 like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the12 glory of the Father, even13 so we also should walk in newness of life. |
Ro 6:5 | For14 if we have been planted15 together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: |
Ro 6:6 OLD LIFE SELF-INDULGENCE-SELF-DENIAL SPIRITUAL SURGERY, THE DUTY OF SURRENDERED LIFE, THE | Knowing this, that our16 old man is crucified with him, that the17 body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth18 we should not serve sin. |
Ro 6:7 SURRENDERED LIFE, THE | For he19 that is dead is freed20 from sin. |
Ro 6:8 | Now21 if we be dead with Christ, we believe22 that we shall also live with him: |
Ro 6:9 MORTALITY-IMMORTALITY | Knowing that Christ23 being raised from the dead dieth no more; death24 hath no more dominion over him. |
Ro 6:10 | ¶ For in that he died, he died unto25 sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto26 God. |
Ro 6:11 LIFE-DEATH LIVING UNTO GOD SURRENDERED LIFE, THE | Likewise reckon27 ye also yourselves to be dead28 indeed unto sin, but29 alive unto God through30 Jesus Christ our Lord. |
Ro 6:12 | Let not sin reign any more; |
Ro 6:12 SIN-SAVIOUR TEMPERANCE-INTEMPERANCE | Let not31 sin therefore reign in your mortal32 body, that ye should obey it in the lusts33 thereof. |
Ro 6:13 RIGHTEOUSNESS-UNRIGHTEOUSNESS SELF-WILL-SUBMISSION TEMPTATION | Neither34 yield ye your members as instruments35 of unrighteousness36 unto sin: but yield37 yourselves unto God, as those that are alive38 from the dead, and your39 members as instruments of righteousness unto God. |
Ro 6:14 | For sin40 shall not have dominion over you: for ye41 are not under42 the law, but under grace. |
Ro 6:15 | What43 then? shall we44 sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid. |
Ro 6:16 LIBERTY-BONDAGE | Know45 ye not, that to whom46 ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin47 unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness? |
Ro 6:17 | But48 God be thanked, that49 ye were the servants of sin, but ye50 have obeyed from the heart that form51 of doctrine which was delivered you52. |
Ro 6:18 | because we have yielded ourselves to the service of righteousness; |
Ro 6:18 LIBERTY-BONDAGE | Being then made53 free from sin, ye became the servants54 of righteousness. |
Ro 6:19 CHASTITY-IMPURITY DEFILEMENT-CLEANSING INIQUITY | I speak55 after the manner of men because56 of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye57 have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity58; even so now yield59 your members servants to righteousness unto holiness60. |
Ro 6:20 | ¶ For when ye were the servants61 of sin, ye were free from62 righteousness. |
Ro 6:21 RIGHTEOUS-WICKED | What63 fruit had ye then in those things whereof64 ye are now ashamed? for the65 end of those things is death. |
Ro 6:22 FRUITFULNESS-UNFRUITFULNESS LIFE-DEATH | But now66 being made free from sin, and become67 servants to God, ye have68 your fruit unto holiness, and the end69 everlasting life. |
Ro 6:23 | and for that death is the wages of sin. |
Ro 6:23 LIFE-DEATH PROFIT AND LOSS SALVATION-CONDEMNATION SIN-SAVIOUR | For the wages70 of sin is death; but the71 gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. |
