Ro 5:1 | Being justified by faith, we have peace with God; |
Ro 5:1 FAITH-UNBELIEF JUSTIFICATION REST-UNREST | ¶ Therefore being1 justified by faith, we have2 peace with God through3 our Lord Jesus Christ: |
Ro 5:2 | and joy in our hope; |
Ro 5:2 ADMISSION-EXCLUSION DOOR, CHRIST THE JOY-SORROW PRIVILEGES, SPECIAL, OF BELIEVERS | By whom4 also we have access by faith into this grace wherein5 we stand, and rejoice6 in hope of the glory7 of God. |
Ro 5:3 BLESSINGS-AFFLICTIONS FRUITFULNESS-UNFRUITFULNESS | And not only so, but we8 glory in tribulations also: knowing9 that tribulation worketh patience; |
Ro 5:4 FRUITFULNESS-UNFRUITFULNESS | And patience10, experience; and experience11, hope: |
Ro 5:5 HOPE-DESPAIR | And hope12 maketh not ashamed; because13 the love of God is shed14 abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. |
Ro 5:6 SIN-SAVIOUR WEAKNESS-POWER | ¶ For15 when we were yet without16 strength, in due time17 Christ18 died for the ungodly19. |
Ro 5:7 | For scarcely20 for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good21 man some22 would even dare to die. |
Ro 5:8 | that since we were reconciled by his blood, when we were enemies; |
Ro 5:8 LOVE-HATRED SINNER'S FRIEND, CHRIST THE | But God commendeth23 his love toward us, in that24, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. |
Ro 5:9 CHRIST JESUS SALVATION-CONDEMNATION | Much more then, being25 now justified by his blood, we shall26 be saved from wrath through him. |
Ro 5:10 | we shall much more be saved, being reconciled. |
Ro 5:10 | ¶ For if, when27 we were enemies, we were reconciled28 to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall29 be saved by his life. |
Ro 5:11 ATONEMENT JOY-SORROW | And not only so, but we30 also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom31 we have now received the atonement32. |
Ro 5:12 | As sin and death came by Adam; |
Ro 5:12 FALL OF ADAM LIFE-DEATH SIN-SAVIOUR | Wherefore, as by33 one man sin entered into the world, and death34 by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that35 all have sinned: |
Ro 5:13 | (For until36 the law sin was in the world: but sin37 is not imputed when there is no law. |
Ro 5:14 | Nevertheless death38 reigned from Adam to Moses, even39 over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure40 of him that was to come. |
Ro 5:15 GRACE, DIVINE SALVATION-CONDEMNATION | But not41 as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many42 be dead, much43 more the grace of God, and the gift44 by grace, which is] by one man, Jesus Christ, hath45 abounded unto many. |
Ro 5:16 | And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the46 judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free47 gift is of many offences unto justification. |
Ro 5:17 | so much more righteousness and life by Jesus Christ. |
Ro 5:17 EXALTATION-ABASEMENT | For if48 by one man's offence49 death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift50 of righteousness shall reign51 in life by one, Jesus Christ.) |
Ro 5:18 JUSTIFICATION SALVATION-CONDEMNATION SALVATION-CONDEMNATION | Therefore as by the offence52 of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness53 of one the free gift came upon all men54 unto justification of life. |
Ro 5:19 OBEDIENCE-DISOBEDIENCE | For as by one55 man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by56 the obedience of one shall many be made righteous. |
Ro 5:20 | Where sin abounded, grace did superabound. |
Ro 5:20 LAW, PURPOSE OF | ¶ Moreover the law57 entered, that the offence might abound. But58 where sin abounded, grace did much more abound: |
Ro 5:21 LIFE-DEATH | That59 as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace60 reign through61 righteousness unto62 eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord. |
