Ro 3:1 | The jews prerogative; |
Ro 3:1 | ¶ What advantage1 then hath the Jew? or what profit is there of circumcision? |
Ro 3:2 ORACLES, THE SCRIPTURES CALLED | Much2 every way: chiefly, because3 that unto them were committed4 the oracles5 of God. |
Ro 3:3 | which they have not lost; |
Ro 3:3 | For what if some6 did not believe? shall7 their unbelief make the faith8 of God without effect? |
Ro 3:4 TRUTH-FALSEHOOD | God forbid9: yea, let God10 be true, but every11 man a liar; as it is written, That thou12 mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged. |
Ro 3:5 | But if13 our unrighteousness commend the righteousness of God, what shall14 we say? Is God15 unrighteous who taketh vengeance? (I speak16 as a man) |
Ro 3:6 | God forbid17: for then18 how shall God judge the world? |
Ro 3:7 | For if the truth19 of God hath more abounded through my lie unto his glory; why yet20 am I also judged as a sinner? |
Ro 3:8 | And not rather, (as we be21 slanderously reported, and as some affirm that we say,) Let us22 do evil, that good may come? whose damnation is just. |
Ro 3:9 | howbeit the law convinces them also of sin; |
Ro 3:9 | What then23? are we24 better than they? No, in no wise: for we have before proved25 both Jews and Gentiles, that they26 are all under sin; |
Ro 3:10 | ¶ As it is27 written, There28 is none29 righteous, no, not one: |
Ro 3:11 DISCERNMENT-DULLNESS | There is none that understandeth30, there is none that seeketh31 after God. |
Ro 3:12 | They are32 all gone out of the way, they are together become33 unprofitable; there is none34 that doeth good, no, not one. |
Ro 3:13 ASPS SILENCE-SPEECH TRUTH-FALSEHOOD | Their throat35 is an open sepulchre; with their36 tongues they have used deceit; the poison37 of asps is under their lips: |
Ro 3:14 BITTERNESS BLASPHEMY, PROFANITY, CURSING | 38Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness: |
Ro 3:15 ACTIVITY, EVIL FEET OF THE WICKED | 39Their feet are swift to shed blood: |
Ro 3:16 COMFORT-MISERY | Destruction and misery are in their ways: |
Ro 3:17 REST-UNREST | 40And the way of peace have they not known: |
Ro 3:18 RIGHTEOUSNESS-UNRIGHTEOUSNESS | 41There is no fear of God before their eyes. |
Ro 3:19 LAW INSUFFICIENT SELF-JUSTIFICATION-SELF-CONDEMNATION | ¶ Now we know that what things42 soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that43 every mouth may be stopped, and all the44 world may become guilty before God45. |
Ro 3:20 | therefore no flesh is justified by the law; |
Ro 3:20 JUSTIFICATION LAW, PURPOSE OF WORK AND WORKERS, RELIGIOUS | ¶ Therefore46 by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh47 be justified in his sight48: for by the49 law is the knowledge of sin. |
Ro 3:21 | But now the righteousness50 of God without the law is manifested, being51 witnessed by the law and the52 prophets; |
Ro 3:22 | Even the righteousness of God which is53 by faith of Jesus Christ unto all54 and upon55 all them that believe: for there56 is no difference: |
Ro 3:23 SIN-SAVIOUR | For all have57 sinned, and come58 short of59 the glory of God; |
Ro 3:24 GRACE, DIVINE REDEMPTION SALVATION-CONDEMNATION | Being justified60 freely by his grace through61 the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: |
Ro 3:25 MEEKNESS-RETALIATION SALVATION-CONDEMNATION SALVATION-CONDEMNATION | Whom God hath set forth62 to be63 a propitiation through64 faith in his blood, to declare65 his righteousness for the remission66 of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; |
Ro 3:26 | To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he67 might be just, and68 the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus. |
Ro 3:27 | Where69 is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works70? Nay: but by71 the law of faith. |
Ro 3:28 | but all, without difference, by faith, only; |
Ro 3:28 JUSTIFICATION | 72Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law. |
Ro 3:29 FATHERHOOD OF GOD | 73Is he the God of the Jews only? is he not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also: |
Ro 3:30 CIRCUMCISION | ¶74Seeing it is one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith. |
Ro 3:31 | and yet the law is not abolished. |
Ro 3:31 | Do we75 then make void the law through faith? God76 forbid: yea78, we establish the law. |
