¶ These words spake Jesus, and lifted¹ up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour² is come; glorify³ thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee:

As⁴ thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give⁵ eternal life to as many⁶ as thou hast given him.

And this⁷ is life eternal, that they might know thee the only⁸ true God, and Jesus⁹ Christ, whom thou hast sent.

I have glorified¹⁰ thee on the earth: I have finished¹¹ the work which thou gavest me to do.

And now, O Father, glorify¹² thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before¹³ the world was.

¶ I have manifested¹⁴ thy name unto the men¹⁵ which thou gavest me out of the world: thine¹⁶ they¹⁷ were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word.

Now they¹⁸ have known that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are¹⁹ of thee.

For I have²⁰ given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received²¹ them, and have²² known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me.

I pray for²³ them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine.

¶ And all²⁴ mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I²⁵ am glorified in them.

¶ And now I am²⁶ no more in the world, but²⁷ these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy²⁸ Father, keep²⁹ through thine³⁰ own name those whom thou hast given me, that³¹ they may be one, as we are.

While I was with them in the world, I kept³² them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and³³ none of them is lost, but the son³⁴ of perdition; that³⁵ the scripture might be fulfilled.

And now come³⁶ I to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that³⁷ they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves.

I have given³⁸ them thy word; and the world³⁹ hath hated them, because they⁴⁰ are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

I pray not that thou shouldest take⁴¹ them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep⁴² them from the evil.

They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

¶ Sanctify⁴³ them through thy truth: thy word⁴⁴ is truth.

⁴⁵As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.

And for⁴⁶ their sakes I sanctify⁴⁷ myself, that⁴⁸ they also might be sanctified through the truth⁴⁹.

¶ Neither pray⁵⁰ I for these alone, but for them⁵¹ also which shall believe on me through their word;

That they all⁵² may be one; as⁵³ thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the⁵⁴ world may believe that thou hast sent me.

And the glory⁵⁵ which thou gavest me I have given them; that⁵⁶ they may be one, even as we are one:

I⁵⁷ in them, and thou in me, that they may be made⁵⁸ perfect in one; and that the⁵⁹ world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast⁶⁰ loved them, as thou hast loved me.

¶ Father, I will⁶¹ that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may⁶² behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for⁶³ thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.

O righteous Father⁶⁴, the world hath⁶⁵ not known thee: but I⁶⁶ have known thee, and these have⁶⁷ known that thou hast sent me.

And I have⁶⁸ declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that⁶⁹ the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I⁷⁰ in them.
