Joh 11:1 HEALTH-DISEASE LAZARUS MARTHA OF BETHANY MARY MIRACLES MORTALITY-IMMORTALITY Bethany 1 | ¶ Now1 a certain man was sick2, named Lazarus3, of Bethany4, the town of Mary5 and her sister Martha. |
Joh 11:2 HAIR | (It was that Mary which6 anointed the7 Lord with ointment, and wiped his feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was sick.) |
Joh 11:3 FAITH-UNBELIEF | Therefore his sisters sent unto him, saying, Lord, behold, he8 whom thou lovest is sick. |
Joh 11:4 | When Jesus heard that, he said, This9 sickness is not unto death, but for10 the glory of God, that11 the Son of God might be glorified thereby. |
Joh 11:5 FRIENDSHIP-FRIENDLESSNESS | Now Jesus loved12 Martha, and her sister, and Lazarus. |
Joh 11:6 TESTS, SPIRITUAL TESTS, SPIRITUAL | When he had heard therefore that he was sick, he abode13 two days still in the same place where he was. |

Joh 11:8 | His disciples say unto him, Master, the Jews15 of late sought to stone thee; and goest16 thou thither again? |
Joh 11:9 | Jesus answered, Are17 there not twelve hours in the day? If any man walk in the day, he stumbleth not18, because he seeth the light of this world. |
Joh 11:10 LIGHT-DARKNESS | ¶19But if a man walk in the night, he stumbleth, because there is no light in him. |
Joh 11:11 LIFE-DEATH | These things said he: and after that he saith20 unto them, Our friend Lazarus sleepeth21; but I go, that I may awake22 him out of sleep. |
Joh 11:12 DISCERNMENT-DULLNESS | Then said his disciples, Lord, if he sleep, he shall do well. |
Joh 11:13 | Howbeit Jesus spake of his death: but they thought that he had spoken of taking of rest in sleep. |

Joh 11:21 TESTS, SPIRITUAL | Then said Martha unto Jesus, Lord, if33 thou hadst been here, my brother had not died. |
Joh 11:22 | But I know, that34 even now, whatsoever thou wilt ask of God, God will give it thee35. |

Joh 11:43 LAZARUS | And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus73, come forth. |

Joh 11:48 | If we let81 him thus alone, all82 men will believe on him: and the83 Romans shall come and take away both our place and nation. |

Joh 11:49 CAIAPHAS | And one of them, named Caiaphas84, being the high priest that same year, said unto them, Ye85 know nothing at all, |
Joh 11:50 | ¶86Nor consider that it is expedient for us, that one man should die for the people, and that the whole nation perish not. |
Joh 11:51 | And this spake he not of himself: but being87 high priest that year, he prophesied88 that Jesus89 should die for that nation; |

Joh 11:53 PLOTTING | Then from94 that day forth they95 took counsel together for to put96 him to death. |

Joh 11:57 | Now both the chief priests and the Pharisees had104 given a commandment, that, if any man knew where he were, he should shew it, that they might take him. |
