Heb 12:6 | For whom23 the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth24 every son whom he receiveth. |
Heb 12:7 STEADFASTNESS-INSTABILITY | If ye endure25 chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what26 son is he whom the father chasteneth not? |
Heb 12:8 | 27But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons. |
Heb 12:9 FATHERHOOD OF GOD | Furthermore we have had fathers28 of our flesh which corrected29 us, and we gave30 them reverence: shall we not31 much rather be in subjection unto the Father32 of spirits, and live? |
Heb 12:10 HOLINESS PARTAKERS, BELIEVERS AS | ¶ For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure33; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers34 of his holiness. |
Heb 12:11 AFTERWARDS BLESSINGS-AFFLICTIONS FRUITFULNESS-UNFRUITFULNESS MYSTERIES-REVELATIONS | Now no chastening35 for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless36 afterward it yieldeth the peaceable37 fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised38 thereby. |
