Ps 37:1 ENVY | ¶ A Psalm of David. Fret2 not thyself because of evildoers, neither3 be thou envious against the workers of iniquity. |
Ps 37:2 RIGHTEOUS-WICKED | 4For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb. |
Ps 37:3 FAITH-UNBELIEF PROMISES, DIVINE WORK AND WORKERS, RELIGIOUS | Trust5 in the LORD, and do good; so shalt6 thou dwell in the land, and verily7 thou shalt be fed. |
Ps 37:4 | Delight8 thyself also in the LORD; and9 he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. |
Ps 37:5 FAITH-UNBELIEF | Commit10 thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and11 he shall bring it to pass. |
Ps 37:6 | And he shall12 bring forth thy righteousness as the light13, and thy judgment as the noonday. |
Ps 37:7 PATIENCE-IMPATIENCE PLANS AND DEVICES OF MEN | ¶ Rest in14 the LORD, and wait15 patiently for him: fret16 not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man17 who bringeth wicked devices to pass. |
Ps 37:8 WRATH-ANGER | Cease18 from anger, and forsake wrath: fret19 not thyself in any wise to do evil. |
Ps 37:9 EVILDOERS TITLES AND NAMES | For evildoers20 shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit21 the earth22. |
Ps 37:10 RIGHTEOUS-WICKED | ¶ For yet23 a little while, and the wicked24 shall not be: yea, thou25 shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be. |
Ps 37:11 INHERITANCE MEEKNESS-RETALIATION | But the meek26 shall inherit the earth; and shall delight27 themselves in the abundance of peace. |
Ps 37:12 PLOTTING RIGHTEOUS-WICKED TEETH GNASHING OF | 28The wicked plotteth29 against the just, and gnasheth30 upon him with his teeth. |
Ps 37:13 CONTEMPT, DIVINE | The Lord shall laugh31 at him: for he seeth that his day32 is coming. |
Ps 37:14 | The wicked33 have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, and to slay34 such as35 be of upright conversation. |
Ps 37:15 REWARD-PUNISHMENT | Their sword36 shall enter into their own heart, and their bows37 shall be broken. |
Ps 37:16 | 38A little that a righteous man hath is better than the riches of many wicked. |
Ps 37:17 PROVIDENCE DIVINE RIGHTEOUS-WICKED | For the arms39 of the wicked shall be broken: but the LORD40 upholdeth the righteous. |
Ps 37:18 | The LORD knoweth41 the days42 of the upright: and their43 inheritance shall be for ever. |
Ps 37:19 | They shall not be ashamed in the evil44 time: and in the days45 of famine they shall be satisfied. |
Ps 37:20 | ¶ But the46 wicked shall perish, and the enemies of the LORD shall be as the fat of lambs47: they shall consume; into smoke48 shall they consume away. |
Ps 37:21 BUSINESS LIFE | ¶ The wicked borroweth49, and payeth not again: but the righteous50 sheweth mercy, and giveth. |
Ps 37:22 INHERITANCE RIGHTEOUS-WICKED | For such as be blessed51 of him shall inherit the earth; and they that be cursed52 of him shall be cut off53. |
Ps 37:23 RIGHTEOUS-WICKED | The steps54 of a good man are ordered55 by the LORD: and he delighteth56 in his way. |
Ps 37:24 HAND, DIVINE | Though57 he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for58 the LORD upholdeth him with his hand. |
Ps 37:25 BEGGARS HEREDITY KNOWLEDGE-IGNORANCE RIGHTEOUS-WICKED | I have59 been young, and now am old; yet60 have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed61 begging bread. |
Ps 37:26 BUSINESS LIFE | He is ever62 merciful, and lendeth; and his seed63 is blessed. |
Ps 37:27 WORK AND WORKERS, RELIGIOUS | Depart64 from evil, and do good65; and dwell for evermore. |
Ps 37:28 HEREDITY PROVIDENCE DIVINE RIGHTEOUS-WICKED SIN-SAVIOUR | For the LORD loveth66 judgment, and forsaketh67 not his saints; they are preserved for ever: but68 the seed of the wicked shall be cut off. |
Ps 37:29 | 69The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell therein for ever. |
Ps 37:30 SILENCE-SPEECH | ¶70The mouth of the righteous speaketh wisdom, and his tongue talketh of judgment. |
Ps 37:31 BIBLE, THE; THE WORD OF GOD | The law71 of his God is in his heart; none72 of his steps73 shall slide. |
Ps 37:32 WATCHING | The wicked watcheth74 the righteous, and seeketh to slay him. |
Ps 37:33 | The LORD will not75 leave him in his hand, nor condemn76 him when he is judged. |
Ps 37:34 | ¶ Wait77 on the LORD, and keep78 his way, and he shall exalt79 thee to inherit the land: when80 the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it. |
Ps 37:35 PROSPERITY-ADVERSITY TRANSIENT-ENDURING TREES TREES | I have81 seen the wicked in great power, and spreading himself like a green bay tree. |
Ps 37:36 LIFE-DEATH TRANSIENT-ENDURING | 83Yet he passed away, and, lo, he was not: yea, I sought him, but he could not be found. |
Ps 37:37 UPRIGHTNESS, REWARD OF | 84Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace. |
Ps 37:38 RIGHTEOUS-WICKED RIGHTEOUS-WICKED TITLES AND NAMES | 85But the transgressors shall be destroyed together: the end of the wicked shall be cut off. |
Ps 37:39 SALVATION-CONDEMNATION | But the salvation86 of the righteous is of the LORD: he is their strength87 in the time of trouble. |
Ps 37:40 | ¶ And the LORD88 shall help them, and deliver them: he shall deliver them from89 the wicked, and save them, because90 they trust in him. |
