Ps 22:1 FORSAKEN, THE RIGHTEOUS APPARENTLY | ¶ To the chief Musician upon Aijeleth Shahar, A Psalm of David. My God2, my God, why hast3 thou forsaken me? why art thou so far4 from helping5 me, and from the words6 of my roaring? |
Ps 22:2 | O my God, I cry7 in the daytime, but8 thou hearest not; and in the night9 season, and am not silent10. |
Ps 22:3 | But11 thou art holy, O thou that12 inhabitest the praises of Israel. |
Ps 22:4 | 13Our fathers trusted in thee: they trusted, and thou didst deliver them. |
Ps 22:5 | They cried14 unto thee, and were15 delivered: they trusted in thee, and were not confounded. |
Ps 22:6 | But I am16 a worm, and no man; a reproach17 of men, and despised of the people. |
Ps 22:7 MOCKING | All they that see me laugh18 me to scorn: they shoot out19 the lip, they shake20 the head, saying, |
Ps 22:8 | He trusted21 on the LORD that he would deliver him: let him22 deliver him, seeing23 he delighted in him. |
Ps 22:9 | He prays in great distress. |
Ps 22:9 | But thou art he that took24 me out of the womb: thou didst25 make me hope26 when I was upon my mother's breasts. |
Ps 22:10 | ¶ I was cast27 upon thee from the womb: thou28 art my God from29 my mother's belly. |
Ps 22:11 NO HELPER | ¶ Be not30 far from me; for trouble is near; for there is none to help31. |
Ps 22:12 Bashan | Many32 bulls have compassed me: strong33 bulls of Bashan have beset me round. |
Ps 22:13 | They gaped34 upon me with their mouths, as a35 ravening and a roaring lion. |
Ps 22:14 WAX | I am36 poured out like water, and all37 my bones are out of joint38: my heart is like wax; it is melted in the midst of my bowels. |
Ps 22:15 | My strength39 is dried up like a potsherd; and my tongue40 cleaveth to my jaws; and thou hast brought me into the41 dust of death. |
Ps 22:16 | For dogs42 have compassed43 me: the assembly44 of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced45 my hands and my feet. |
Ps 22:17 | I may46 tell all my bones: they look47 and stare upon me. |
Ps 22:18 VESTURE | 48They part my garments among them, and cast lots upon my vesture. |
Ps 22:19 | But49 be not thou far from me, O LORD: O my50 strength, haste thee to help me. |
Ps 22:20 | ¶ Deliver my soul51 from the sword; my darling52 from the power of the dog53. |
Ps 22:21 | Save me from54 the lion's mouth: for thou hast heard me from the horns55 of the unicorns. |
Ps 22:22 | ¶ I will56 declare thy name unto my brethren57: in the58 midst of the congregation will I praise thee. |

Ps 22:23 GLORIFYING GOD | Ye that59 fear the LORD, praise him; all ye60 the seed of Jacob, glorify61 him; and fear him, all ye the62 seed of Israel. |
Ps 22:24 | For63 he hath not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; neither64 hath he hid his face from him; but65 when he cried unto him, he heard. |
Ps 22:25 | My praise66 shall be of thee in the great congregation: I will67 pay my vows before them that fear him. |
Ps 22:26 MEEKNESS-RETALIATION | The meek68 shall eat and be satisfied: they69 shall praise the LORD that seek him: your70 heart shall live for ever. |
Ps 22:27 MISSIONS, WORLD-WIDE MISSIONS, WORLD-WIDE MISSIONS, WORLD-WIDE | All the ends71 of the world shall remember and turn72 unto the LORD: and all73 the kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee. |
Ps 22:28 MISSIONS, WORLD-WIDE SOVEREIGNTY OF GOD | 74For the kingdom is the LORD'S: and he is the governor among the nations. |
Ps 22:29 | All they that be75 fat upon earth shall76 eat and worship: all they that77 go down to the dust shall bow78 before him: and none79 can keep alive his own soul. |
Ps 22:30 | ¶ A seed80 shall serve him; it shall81 be accounted to the Lord for a generation. |
Ps 22:31 | They82 shall come, and shall declare his righteousness83 unto a people that shall be born, that he hath done this. |
