Ps 12:1	David, destitute of human comfort, craves help of God.
Ps 12:1 •NATION, THE	¶ *To the chief Musician upon Sheminith, A Psalm of David.* Help², LORD; for the godly³ man ceaseth; for the faithful⁴ fail from among the children of men.
Ps 12:2	They⁵ speak vanity every one with his neighbour: with flattering⁶ lips and with a double heart⁷ do they speak.
Ps 12:3	He comforts himself with God's promises, and his judgments on the wicked.
Ps 12:3 •COMMENDATION-REPROOF	The LORD shall cut⁸ off all flattering lips, and the tongue⁹ that speaketh proud¹⁰ things:
Ps 12:4 •HUMILITY-PRIDE	Who have said, With¹¹ our tongue will we prevail; our lips are our own:¹² who is lord over us?
Ps 12:5 •KINDNESS-CRUELTY •PROMISES, DIVINE	For the oppression¹³ of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now¹⁴ will I arise, saith the LORD; I will set him in safety from him that puffeth at¹⁵ him.
Ps 12:6 •BIBLE, THE; THE WORD OF GOD •BIBLE, THE; THE WORD OF GOD •SILVER	The words¹⁶ of the LORD are pure words: as silver¹⁷ tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
Ps 12:7	Thou shalt¹⁸ keep them,¹⁹ O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.
Ps 12:8	The wicked²⁰ walk on every side, when²¹ the vilest men²² are exalted.
