Ps 104:1 GREATNESS | ¶ Bless1 the LORD, O my soul. O LORD2 my God, thou art very great3; thou art clothed4 with honour5 and majesty. |
Ps 104:2 | Who coverest thyself with light6 as with a garment: who stretchest7 out the heavens like a curtain: |
Ps 104:3 CHARIOTS OF GOD | Who layeth8 the beams of his chambers in the waters: who maketh9 the clouds his chariot: who walketh10 upon the wings of the wind: |
Ps 104:4 | Who maketh11 his angels spirits; his ministers12 a flaming fire: |
Ps 104:5 CREATOR | Who laid the foundations of the earth13, that it14 should not be removed for ever. |
Ps 104:6 | 15Thou coveredst it with the deep as with a garment: the waters stood above the mountains. |
Ps 104:7 | and wonderful providence of God. |
Ps 104:7 | At thy16 rebuke they fled17; at the voice of thy thunder they hasted away. |
Ps 104:8 | They go up18 by the mountains; they go down by the valleys unto the place which thou hast founded for them. |
Ps 104:9 WEAKNESS-POWER | Thou hast set19 a bound that they may not pass over; that they turn not again to cover the earth. |
Ps 104:10 | ¶ He sendeth20 the springs into the valleys, which run21 among the hills. |
Ps 104:11 | They give22 drink to every beast of the field: the wild23 asses quench24 their thirst. |
Ps 104:12 BIRDS | By them shall the fowls25 of the heaven have their habitation, which sing26 among the branches. |
Ps 104:13 | He watereth27 the hills from his chambers28: the earth29 is satisfied with the fruit of thy works. |
Ps 104:14 FOOD, PHYSICAL-SPIRITUAL | He causeth30 the grass to grow for the cattle, and herb31 for the service of man: that he32 may bring forth food out of the earth; |
Ps 104:15 BREAD TEMPERANCE-INTEMPERANCE | And wine33 that maketh glad the heart of man, and oil to make his34 face to shine, and bread35 which strengtheneth man's heart. |
Ps 104:16 TREES Lebanon | 36The trees of the LORD are full of sap; the cedars of Lebanon, which he hath planted; |
Ps 104:17 BIRDS BIRDS | Where the birds37 make their nests: as for38 the stork39, the fir trees are her house. |
Ps 104:18 ANIMALS | The high hills are a refuge for the wild goats40; and the rocks for the conies41. |
Ps 104:19 MOON SEASONS, THE | ¶42He appointed the moon for seasons: the sun knoweth his going down. |
Ps 104:20 LIGHT-DARKNESS | ¶ Thou makest43 darkness, and it is night: wherein all the beasts of the forest do creep forth44. |
Ps 104:21 | The young45 lions roar after their prey, and seek46 their meat from God. |
Ps 104:22 | 47The sun ariseth, they gather themselves together, and lay them down in their dens. |
Ps 104:23 | 48Man goeth forth unto his work and to his labour until the evening. |
Ps 104:24 WISDOM-FOLLY | O LORD, how49 manifold are thy works! in wisdom50 hast thou made them all: the earth51 is full of thy riches. |
Ps 104:25 CREEPING THINGS | So is this great52 and wide sea, wherein are things creeping innumerable, both small and great beasts53. |
Ps 104:26 LEVIATHAN | There go54 the ships: there is that leviathan55, whom thou hast made56 to play therein. |
Ps 104:27 | 57These wait all upon thee; that thou mayest give them their meat in due season. |
Ps 104:28 HAND, DIVINE | That thou givest them they gather58: thou openest59 thine hand60, they are filled61 with good62. |
Ps 104:29 CORRUPTION | Thou hidest63 thy face, they are troubled: thou takest64 away their breath, they die, and return65 to their dust. |
Ps 104:30 CREATOR LIFE-DEATH | ¶ Thou sendest66 forth thy spirit, they are created: and thou renewest67 the face of the earth. |
Ps 104:31 | God's glory is eternal. |
Ps 104:31 | ¶ The glory68 of the LORD shall endure69 for ever: the LORD shall rejoice in his works. |
Ps 104:32 | He looketh70 on the earth, and it trembleth: he toucheth71 the hills, and they smoke. |
Ps 104:33 | The prophet vows perpetually to praise God. |
Ps 104:33 GRATITUDE-INGRATITUDE | 72I will sing unto the LORD as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being. |
Ps 104:34 MIND, CARNAL-SPIRITUAL | My meditation73 of him shall be sweet: I will be74 glad in the LORD. |
Ps 104:35 | Let the sinners75 be consumed out of the earth, and let the wicked be no more. Bless76 thou the LORD, O my soul. Praise ye the LORD. |
