Jesus answered and said unto them, Go and shew John again those things which ye do hear and see:

DEAFNESS-HEARING

The blind7 receive their sight, and the lame8 walk, the lepers9 are cleansed, and the deaf10 hear, the dead11 are raised up, and the poor12 have the gospel preached to them.

REEDS

And as they departed, Jesus15 began to say unto the multitudes concerning John, What16 went ye out into the wilderness to see? A reed17 shaken with the wind?

M't 11:8

But what went ye out for to see? A man18 clothed in soft raiment? behold, they that wear soft clothing are in kings' houses.

M't 11:9

But what went ye out for to see? A prophet19? yea, I say unto you, and more than a prophet.

20For this is he, of whom it is written, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee.

Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born21 of women there hath not risen a greater22 than John the Baptist: notwithstanding he that23 is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater24 than he.

M't 11:12

And from25 the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take26 it by force.

M't 11:13

27For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John.

For John36 came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, He37 hath a devil.
