Lu 7:7 | Wherefore neither thought I myself worthy to come unto thee: but13 say in a word, and my servant shall be healed. |
Lu 7:8 | For I also am a man set under14 authority, having under me soldiers, and I say unto one15, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it. |
Lu 7:9 COMMENDATION-REPROOF | When Jesus heard these things, he marvelled16 at him, and turned him about, and said unto the people that followed him, I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in17 Israel. |

Lu 7:22 HEALTH-DISEASE | Then Jesus answering said unto them, Go38 your way, and tell John what things ye have seen and heard; how39 that the blind see, the lame40 walk, the lepers41 are cleansed, the deaf42 hear, the dead43 are raised, to44 the poor the gospel is preached. |

Lu 7:24 JOHN THE BAPTIST | And when the messengers of John were departed, he began to speak unto the people concerning John, What46 went ye out into the wilderness47 for to see? A reed48 shaken with the wind? |
Lu 7:25 | But what went ye out for to see? A man49 clothed in soft raiment? Behold, they which are gorgeously apparelled, and live delicately, are in50 kings' courts. |
Lu 7:26 | But what went ye out for to see? A prophet51? Yea, I say unto you, and52 much more than a prophet. |
Lu 7:27 | This is he, of whom it is written, Behold54, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee. |
Lu 7:28 COMMENDATION-REPROOF LEADERS, RELIGIOUS | For I say unto you, Among55 those that are born of women there is not a greater prophet than John the Baptist: but56 he that is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he. |
Lu 7:29 CHURCH, THE | And all the people that heard him, and the publicans, justified57 God, being58 baptized with the baptism of John. |
Lu 7:30 RECEPTION-REJECTION OF GOD AND TRUTH SECTS AND PARTIES, JEWISH | ¶ But the Pharisees and lawyers rejected59 the counsel60 of God against61 themselves, being not baptized of him. |
Lu 7:31 | inveighs against the Jews, who with neither the manners of John nor of Jesus could be won; |
Lu 7:31 | And the Lord said, Whereunto62 then shall I liken the men of this generation? and to what are they like? |
Lu 7:32 MARKETPLACES | They are63 like unto children65 sitting in the marketplace, and calling one to another, and saying, We have piped unto you, and ye have not danced; we have mourned to you, and ye have not wept. |
Lu 7:33 SILENCE-SPEECH | For John the Baptist came66 neither eating bread nor drinking wine; and ye say, He67 hath a devil. |
Lu 7:34 PUBLICANS | The Son of man is come eating68 and drinking; and ye say, Behold a gluttonous man, and a winebibber, a friend69 of publicans and sinners! |
Lu 7:35 | 70But wisdom is justified of all her children. |
Lu 7:36 | and suffering his feet to be washed and anointed by a woman who was a sinner, he shows how he is a friend to sinners, to forgive them their sins, upon their repentance. |
