Lu 17:1 | Christ teaches to avoid occasions of offence; |
Lu 17:1 | ¶ Then said he unto the disciples, It is1 impossible but that offences will come: but woe unto him, through whom they come! |
Lu 17:2 | It were better2 for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should offend one3 of these little ones. |
Lu 17:3 | and to forgive one another. |
Lu 17:3 COMMENDATION-REPROOF | Take heed4 to yourselves: If5 thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke6 him; and if he repent, forgive him. |
Lu 17:4 FORGIVENESS | And if7 he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent8; thou shalt forgive him. |

Lu 17:5 FAITH-UNBELIEF LEADERS, RELIGIOUS | And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase9 our faith. |
Lu 17:6 | How we are bound to God, and not he to us. |
Lu 17:6 PROMISES, DIVINE | And the Lord said, If10 ye had faith as11 a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you. |
Lu 17:7 AGRICULTURE-HORTICULTURE | 12But which of you, having a servant plowing or feeding cattle, will say unto him by and by, when he is come from the field, Go and sit down to meat? |
Lu 17:8 | And will not rather say unto him, Make13 ready wherewith I may sup, and gird14 thyself, and serve me, till I have eaten and drunken; and afterward thou shalt eat and drink? |
Lu 17:9 | Doth he thank that servant because he did the things that were commanded him? I trow not. |
Lu 17:10 | ¶15So likewise ye, when ye shall have done all those things which are commanded you, say, We are unprofitable servants: we have done that which was our duty to do. |

Lu 17:11 Jerusalem Samaria Galilee | ¶16And it came to pass, as he went to Jerusalem, that he passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee. |

Lu 17:14 FAITH-UNBELIEF HEALTH-DISEASE | And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go19 shew yourselves unto the priests. And it came to pass, that, as20 they went, they were cleansed. |
Lu 17:15 | 21And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God, |
Lu 17:16 GRATITUDE-INGRATITUDE SAMARITANS | And fell22 down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he23 was a Samaritan. |
Lu 17:17 GRATITUDE-INGRATITUDE | And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but24 where are the nine? |
Lu 17:18 GRATITUDE-INGRATITUDE THANKLESSNESS | There are not found that returned to give25 glory to God, save26 this stranger. |
Lu 17:19 | And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith27 hath made thee whole. |
Lu 17:20 TIME-SEEKERS | ¶ And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the28 kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation29: |
Lu 17:21 KINGDOM, SPIRITUAL | Neither shall they say, Lo here30! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom31 of God is within you32. |
Lu 17:22 | Of the kingdom of God, and the coming of the Son of Man. |
Lu 17:22 | And he said unto the disciples, The days will come, when33 ye shall desire to see one of the days of the Son of man, and ye shall not see it. |
Lu 17:23 | 34And they shall say to you, See here; or, see there: go not after them, nor follow them. |
Lu 17:24 | For as35 the lightning, that lighteneth out of the one part under heaven, shineth unto the other part under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in36 his day. |
Lu 17:25 RECEPTION-REJECTION OF GOD AND TRUTH | But first must37 he suffer many things, and be rejected38 of this generation. |
Lu 17:26 | And as39 it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son41 of man. |
Lu 17:27 | 42They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all. |
Lu 17:28 LOT | 43Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; |
Lu 17:29 BRIMSTONE DESTRUCTION OF THE WICKED SODOM Sodom | 44But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. |
Lu 17:30 | ¶45Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed. |
Lu 17:31 | In that day, he which46 shall be upon the housetop, and his stuff in the house, let him not come down to take it away: and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back. |
Lu 17:32 SALT | 47Remember Lot's wife. |
Lu 17:33 | 48Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it. |
Lu 17:34 ASSOCIATION-SEPARATION | I tell49 you, in50 that night there shall be two51 men in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left. |
Lu 17:35 | Two women shall be grinding52 together; the one shall be taken, and the other left. |
Lu 17:36 | Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. |
Lu 17:37 | And they answered and said unto him, Where, Lord? And he said unto them, Wheresoever the body is, thither will the eagles be gathered together. |
