¶ Let not¹ your heart be troubled: ye² believe in God, believe also in me.

In my³ Father's house are many mansions: if⁴ it were not so, I would have told you. I go⁵ to prepare a place for you.

And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will⁶ come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

¶ And whither⁷ I go ye know, and the⁸ way ye know.

Thomas⁹ saith unto him, Lord, we know not¹⁰ whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?

Jesus saith unto him, I am¹¹ the way, the truth¹², and the life¹³: no¹⁴ man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

If ye¹⁵ had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from¹⁶ henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.

Philip¹⁷ saith unto him, Lord, shew¹⁸ us the Father, and it sufficeth us.

Jesus saith unto him, Have¹⁹ I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he²⁰ that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how²¹ sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?

¶ Believest²² thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words²³ that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth²⁴ in me, he²⁵ doeth the works.

Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or²⁶ else believe me for the very works' sake.

¶ Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the²⁷ works that I do shall he do also; and greater²⁸ works than these shall he do; because²⁹ I go unto my Father.

And whatsoever³⁰ ye shall ask in my³¹ name, that will³² I do, that³³ the Father may be glorified in the Son.

If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

¶³⁴If ye love me, keep my commandments.

And I will³⁵ pray the Father, and he shall give you another³⁶ Comforter, that he may abide³⁷ with you for ever;

Even the Spirit³⁸ of truth; whom³⁹ the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but⁴⁰ ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall⁴¹ be in you.

¶ I will not⁴² leave you comfortless⁴³: I will come⁴⁴ to you.

Yet a little⁴⁵ while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because⁴⁶ I live, ye shall live also.

¶ At that day ye shall⁴⁷ know that I am in my Father, and ye in⁴⁸ me, and I in you.

He that hath⁴⁹ my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth⁵⁰ me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will⁵¹ manifest myself to him.

Judas⁵² saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how⁵⁵ is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world?

Jesus answered and said unto him, If⁵⁶ a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make⁵⁷ our abode with him.

He that⁵⁸ loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and⁵⁹ the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.

¶ These things have⁶⁰ I spoken unto you, being yet present with you.

But the Comforter⁶¹, which is the Holy Ghost⁶², whom⁶³ the Father will send in my name, he⁶⁴ shall teach you all things, and bring⁶⁵ all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

Peace I leave⁶⁶ with you, my peace I give unto you: not⁶⁷ as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not⁶⁸ your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid⁶⁹.

¶ Ye have heard⁷⁰ how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If⁷¹ ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go⁷² unto the Father⁷³: for my Father is greater than I.

⁷⁴And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass, ye might believe.

¶ Hereafter I⁷⁵ will not talk much with you: for the⁷⁶ prince of this world cometh, and⁷⁷ hath nothing in me.

But that the⁷⁸ world may know that I love the Father; and as the Father gave me commandment, even so I do. Arise⁷⁹, let us go hence.
