Heb 9:1 | ¶ Then verily the first1 covenant had2 also ordinances3 of divine service, and a worldly sanctuary. |
Heb 9:2 SHEWBREAD TABLE Holy Place 2 | For there was a tabernacle4 made; the first5, wherein was the candlestick, and the table6, and the shewbread7; which is called the sanctuary8. |
Heb 9:3 HOLY OF HOLIES Most Holy Place 2 | And after the second9 veil, the tabernacle which is called the Holiest10 of all; |
Heb 9:4 ARK TABLES OF STONE | Which had the golden11 censer, and the ark12 of the covenant overlaid round about with gold, wherein was13 the golden pot that had manna, and Aaron's14 rod that budded, and the15 tables of the covenant; |
Heb 9:5 CHERUBIM | And over16 it the cherubims of glory shadowing the mercyseat17; of which we cannot now speak particularly. |
Heb 9:6 | Now when these things were thus ordained, the priests18 went always into the first tabernacle, accomplishing the service of God. |
Heb 9:7 ATONEMENT BLOOD LEADERS, RELIGIOUS | But into19 the second went the high priest alone once every year, not20 without blood, which he offered for himself, and for the errors21 of the people: |
Heb 9:8 DOOR, CHRIST THE | ¶ The Holy Ghost22 this signifying, that the way23 into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was yet standing: |
Heb 9:9 SACRIFICES | Which was a figure24 for the time25 then present, in which were offered both gifts26 and sacrifices, that could27 not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining28 to the conscience; |
Heb 9:10 DEFILEMENT-CLEANSING RELIGION, TRUE-FALSE RELIGION, TRUE-FALSE | ¶ Which stood only in meats29 and drinks, and divers30 washings, and carnal31 ordinances32, imposed on them until the time of reformation. |
Heb 9:11 | which are far inferior to the dignity and perfection of the blood and sacrifice of Christ. |
Heb 9:11 PRIESTHOOD TABERNACLE | But Christ33 being come an high priest34 of good35 things to come, by a greater36 and more perfect tabernacle, not made37 with hands, that is to say, not of this building; |
Heb 9:12 REDEMPTION | Neither by the38 blood of goats and calves, but by his39 own blood he entered40 in once41 into the holy place, having42 obtained eternal redemption for us. |
Heb 9:13 ANIMALS ASHES OFFERINGS | For if43 the blood of bulls and44 of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying45 of the flesh: |
Heb 9:14 CHRIST JESUS CONSCIENCE DEFILEMENT-CLEANSING PERFECTION-IMPERFECTION TITLES AND NAMES | How46 much more shall the blood47 of Christ, who48 through the eternal49 Spirit offered50 himself without51 spot52 to God, purge your conscience from dead works53 to serve54 the living55 God? |
Heb 9:15 SIN-SAVIOUR | ¶ And for this cause he is the mediator56 of the new57 testament, that by means58 of death, for59 the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first60 testament, they which61 are called might receive the promise63 of eternal64 inheritance. |
Heb 9:16 | For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be65 the death of the testator. |
Heb 9:17 | 66For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth. |
Heb 9:18 | Whereupon neither the first67 testament was dedicated68 without blood. |
Heb 9:19 HYSSOP, BRANCH OF | For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the blood69 of calves and of goats, with water, and scarlet70 wool, and hyssop71, and sprinkled72 both the book, and all the people, |
Heb 9:20 | ¶ Saying, This73 is the blood of the testament74 which God hath enjoined unto you. |
Heb 9:21 | 76Moreover he sprinkled with blood both the tabernacle, and all the vessels of the ministry. |
Heb 9:22 BLOOD REQUIREMENTS, DIVINE SALVATION-CONDEMNATION | And almost77 all things are by the law purged with blood; and without78 shedding of blood is no remission. |
Heb 9:23 SUPERIORITY OF THE NEW DISPENSATION, OVER THE OLD SUPERIORITY OF THE NEW DISPENSATION, OVER THE OLD | ¶ It was therefore necessary that the patterns79 of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly80 things themselves with better sacrifices than these. |
Heb 9:24 CHRIST JESUS SIN-SAVIOUR | For Christ is not entered into the holy81 places made with hands, which are the figures82 of the true; but83 into heaven itself, now to appear84 in the presence of God for us: |
Heb 9:25 | Nor yet that he should offer85 himself often, as86 the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others; |
Heb 9:26 END OF THE WORLD OR CONSUMMATION OF THE AGE FULNESS OF TIME SIN-SAVIOUR | For then must he often have suffered since the foundation87 of the world: but now once in88 the end of the world hath he appeared89 to put away sin by the sacrifice90 of himself. |
Heb 9:27 FUTURE, THE LIFE-DEATH MORTALITY-IMMORTALITY | And as91 it is appointed unto men once to die, but92 after this the judgment: |
Heb 9:28 FUTURE, THE SALVATION-CONDEMNATION SIN-SAVIOUR SIN-SAVIOUR | So Christ was93 once offered to bear94 the sins of many; and unto them95 that look for him shall he appear96 the second time without97 sin unto98 salvation. |
