Ac 17:1 THESSALONICA Apollonia Thessalonica Amphipolis | ¶ Now when they had passed through Amphipolis and Apollonia, they came to Thessalonica1, where2 was a synagogue of the Jews: |
Ac 17:2 MORTALITY-IMMORTALITY SABBATH | And Paul, as3 his manner was, went4 in unto them, and three sabbath days reasoned5 with them out of the scriptures, |
Ac 17:3 CHRIST JESUS LEADERS, RELIGIOUS MORTALITY-IMMORTALITY | Opening6 and alleging, that Christ7 must needs have suffered, and risen again from the dead; and that this8 Jesus, whom I preach9 unto you, is Christ. |
Ac 17:4 CHURCH, THE GREEKS PROSELYTES SILAS OR SILVANUS | And some10 of them believed, and consorted11 with Paul and Silas12; and of the devout13 Greeks a great multitude, and of the chief14 women not a few. |
Ac 17:5 | and others persecute him. |
Ac 17:5 JASON JEWISH JEALOUSY QUIETNESS-TUMULT RABBLE, THE | But the Jews which believed not, moved15 with envy, took16 unto them certain lewd fellows of the baser sort, and gathered a company, and set17 all the city on an uproar, and assaulted the house of Jason18, and sought to bring them out to the people. |
Ac 17:6 UNITY OF EVIL WITNESSES, FALSE | And when they found them not, they drew19 Jason and certain brethren unto the rulers of the city, crying, These20 that have turned the world upside down are come hither also; |
Ac 17:7 | Whom Jason hath received: and these21 all do contrary to the decrees of Caesar, saying that there is another king, one Jesus. |
Ac 17:8 | 22And they troubled the people and the rulers of the city, when they heard these things. |
Ac 17:9 | And when they had taken security of Jason, and of the other, they let them go. |
Ac 17:10 | He is sent to Berea, and preaches there. |
Ac 17:10 BEREA Berea | ¶ And the brethren23 immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea24: who coming thither went25 into the synagogue of the Jews. |

Ac 17:14 TIMOTHY, OR TIMOTHEUS | And then33 immediately the brethren sent away Paul to go as it34 were to the sea: but35 Silas and Timotheus abode there still. |
Ac 17:15 ATHENS Athens | And they that conducted Paul brought him unto Athens36: and receiving37 a commandment unto Silas and Timotheus for to come to him with all speed, they departed. |

Ac 17:19 Areopagus | And they took him, and brought him unto Areopagus47, saying, May48 we know what this new49 doctrine, whereof thou speakest, is? |
Ac 17:20 | ¶ For thou bringest certain strange50 things to our ears: we would know therefore what51 these things mean. |

Ac 17:22 ATHENS PAUL Areopagus Athens | ¶ Then Paul stood in the midst of Mars' hill, and said, Ye men of Athens, I perceive54 that in all things ye are too superstitious. |

Ac 17:26 RULER OF DESTINY SOCIAL LIFE | And hath made63 of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined64 the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation; |
Ac 17:27 FELLOWSHIP-ESTRANGEMENT OMNIPRESENCE SEARCH FOR GOD SEEING GOD | That they65 should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be66 not far from every one of us: |
Ac 17:28 CREATOR | For in him67 we live, and move, and have our being; as68 certain also of your own poets have said, For we are69 also his offspring. |
Ac 17:29 FALSE WORSHIP FALSE WORSHIP | Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought70 not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven71 by art and man's device. |
Ac 17:30 MEEKNESS-RETALIATION PENITENCE-IMPENITENCE | ¶ And the times72 of this ignorance God winked at; but73 now commandeth all men every where to repent: |
Ac 17:31 FUTURE, THE UNIVERSAL JUDGMENT | Because he hath appointed74 a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance75 unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead. |
Ac 17:32 | whereby, though some mock, many are converted unto Christ. |
