¶ Therefore seeing¹ we have this ministry, as² we have received mercy, we faint not³;

But have renounced⁴ the hidden things of dishonesty⁵, not⁶ walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by⁷ manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.

But if our⁸ gospel be hid, it is⁹ hid to them that are lost:

In whom the god¹⁰ of this world hath blinded¹¹ the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image¹³ of God, should shine¹⁴ unto them.

For we¹⁵ preach not ourselves, but Christ¹⁶ Jesus the Lord; and¹⁷ ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake.

For God, who¹⁸ commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath¹⁹ shined in our hearts, to give the light²⁰ of the knowledge of the glory of God in the²¹ face of Jesus Christ.

But we have this²² treasure in²³ earthen vessels, that²⁴ the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.

¶ We are troubled²⁵ on every side, yet²⁶ not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair²⁷;

Persecuted, but²⁸ not forsaken; cast²⁹ down, but not destroyed;

¶ Always bearing³⁰ about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that³¹ the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.

For we which live are alway³² delivered unto death for Jesus' sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our³³ mortal flesh.

So then death³⁴ worketh in us, but life in you.

We having the same spirit³⁵ of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and³⁶ therefore have I spoken; we also believe³⁷, and therefore speak;

Knowing that³⁸ he which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present³⁹ us with you.

For all⁴⁰ things are for your sakes, that the abundant⁴¹ grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God.

For which cause we⁴² faint not; but though⁴³ our outward man perish, yet the⁴⁴ inward man is⁴⁵ renewed day by⁴⁶ day.

For our⁴⁷ light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh⁴⁸ for us a far⁴⁹ more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;

While we⁵⁰ look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for⁵¹ the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
