Ps 94:1 SALVATION-CONDEMNATION | ¶ O LORD God, to whom vengeance belongeth;2 O God, to whom vengeance belongeth, shew thyself3. |
Ps 94:2 | Lift4 up thyself, thou5 judge of the earth: render6 a reward to the proud. |
Ps 94:3 BLESSINGS-AFFLICTIONS | LORD7, how long shall the wicked8, how long shall the wicked triumph? |
Ps 94:4 | How long shall9 they utter and speak hard things? and all the workers of iniquity boast10 themselves? |
Ps 94:5 | They break11 in pieces thy people, O LORD, and afflict12 thine heritage. |
Ps 94:6 | 13They slay the widow and the stranger, and murder the fatherless. |
Ps 94:7 | Yet they say14, The LORD shall not see, neither shall the God of Jacob regard it. |
Ps 94:8 | He teaches God's providence. |
Ps 94:8 | Understand, ye brutish15 among the people: and ye fools16, when will ye be wise? |
Ps 94:9 DEAFNESS-HEARING | He that planted17 the ear, shall he not hear18? he that formed the eye, shall he not see? |
Ps 94:10 TEACHER, DIVINE | ¶ He that chastiseth19 the heathen, shall not he correct20? he that teacheth man21 knowledge, shall not he know? |
Ps 94:11 MIND, CARNAL-SPIRITUAL | 22The LORD knoweth the thoughts of man, that they are vanity. |
Ps 94:12 | He shews the blessedness of affliction. |
Ps 94:12 BLESSINGS-AFFLICTIONS JOY-SORROW PROMISES, DIVINE | ¶ Blessed23 is the man whom thou chastenest, O LORD, and teachest24 him out of thy law; |
Ps 94:13 | That thou mayest25 give him rest from the days of adversity, until the pit26 be digged for the wicked. |
Ps 94:14 | For27 the LORD will not cast off his people, neither will he forsake28 his inheritance. |
Ps 94:15 | But29 judgment shall return unto righteousness: and all30 the upright in heart shall follow it31. |
Ps 94:16 | God is the defender of the afflicted. |
Ps 94:16 EVILDOERS | Who will rise up32 for me against the evildoers? or who will stand up33 for me against the workers of iniquity? |
Ps 94:17 | Unless34 the LORD had been my help, my soul had almost35 dwelt in silence. |
Ps 94:18 | When I said, My foot36 slippeth; thy mercy, O LORD, held me up. |
Ps 94:19 | 37In the multitude of my thoughts within me thy comforts delight my soul. |
Ps 94:20 | ¶ Shall the throne38 of iniquity have fellowship39 with thee, which frameth40 mischief by a law? |
Ps 94:21 BATTLE OF LIFE BLOOD | They gather41 themselves together against the soul of the righteous, and condemn42 the innocent blood. |
Ps 94:22 SECURITY-INSECURITY | But43 the LORD is my defence; and my God is the rock44 of my refuge. |
Ps 94:23 | And he45 shall bring upon them their own iniquity, and shall cut them46 off in their own wickedness; yea, the LORD our God shall cut them off. |
