Ps 31:2 BATTLE OF LIFE | Bow3 down thine ear to me; deliver4 me speedily: be thou my strong rock5, for an house6 of defence to save me. |
Ps 31:3 | For thou art my rock and my fortress; therefore for thy7 name's sake lead8 me, and guide me. |
Ps 31:4 | Pull9 me out of the net that they have laid privily for me: for thou art my strength10. |
Ps 31:5 FAITH-UNBELIEF REDEMPTION | Into11 thine hand I commit my spirit: thou12 hast redeemed me, O LORD God13 of truth. |
Ps 31:6 VANITIES, OF THE WICKED | I have hated14 them that regard lying15 vanities: but I trust in the LORD. |
Ps 31:7 | He rejoices in his mercy. |
Ps 31:7 | I will16 be glad and rejoice in thy mercy: for17 thou hast considered my trouble; thou hast known18 my soul in adversities; |
Ps 31:8 | And hast not shut me19 up into the hand of the enemy: thou hast set20 my feet in a large room. |
Ps 31:9 | He prays in his calamity. |
Ps 31:9 | ¶ Have mercy upon me, O LORD, for I am in trouble: mine21 eye is consumed with grief, yea, my soul22 and my belly. |
Ps 31:10 CHEERFULNESS-DESPONDENCY SALVATION-CONDEMNATION SIGHING | ¶ For my life23 is spent with grief, and my years with sighing: my strength24 faileth because of mine iniquity, and my bones25 are consumed. |
Ps 31:11 FRIENDSHIP-FRIENDLESSNESS | I was26 a reproach among all mine enemies, but especially27 among my neighbours, and a fear28 to mine acquaintance: they that did see me without fled from me. |
Ps 31:12 | I am forgotten29 as a dead man out of mind: I am like a broken vessel30. |
Ps 31:13 SILENCE-SPEECH | For I have31 heard the slander of many: fear32 was on every side: while33 they took counsel together against me, they devised to take away my life. |
Ps 31:14 JEHOVAH CHOSEN, AS GOD | But I trusted in thee, O LORD: I said, Thou34 art my God. |
Ps 31:15 RULER OF DESTINY SUFFERING FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS SAKE | My times35 are in thy hand: deliver36 me from the hand of mine enemies, and from them that persecute me. |
Ps 31:16 FAVOUR-DISFAVOUR SALVATION-CONDEMNATION | Make37 thy face to shine upon thy servant: save38 me for thy mercies' sake. |
Ps 31:17 | Let me39 not be ashamed, O LORD; for I have called upon thee: let the wicked40 be ashamed, and let them41 be silent in the grave42. |
Ps 31:18 TRUTH-FALSEHOOD | Let the lying43 lips be put to silence; which speak44 grievous things45 proudly and contemptuously against the righteous. |
Ps 31:19 | He praises God for his goodness. |
Ps 31:19 FAITH-UNBELIEF PROVIDENCE DIVINE REVERENCE-IRREVERENCE | ¶ Oh46 how great is thy goodness, which thou hast laid up47 for them that fear thee; which thou hast wrought48 for them that trust in thee before the sons of men! |
Ps 31:20 BATTLE OF LIFE BATTLE OF LIFE PAVILION, GOD'S | ¶ Thou shalt hide49 them in the secret of thy presence from50 the pride of man: thou shalt keep them secretly in a pavilion from the strife51 of tongues. |
Ps 31:21 | Blessed be the LORD: for he hath shewed me his marvellous52 kindness in a strong city53. |
Ps 31:22 | For I said54 in my haste, I am55 cut off from before thine eyes: nevertheless57 thou heardest the voice of my supplications when I cried unto thee. |
Ps 31:23 LOVE-HATRED PROVIDENCE DIVINE | O love58 the LORD, all ye his saints59: for the60 LORD preserveth the faithful, and plentifully61 rewardeth the proud doer. |
Ps 31:24 HOPE-DESPAIR | Be of62 good courage, and he shall63 strengthen your heart, all ye64 that hope in the LORD. |
