Ps 139:2 KNOWLEDGE-IGNORANCE | Thou knowest3 my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest4 my thought afar off5. |
Ps 139:3 KNOWLEDGE-IGNORANCE | Thou compassest6 my path7 and my lying down, and art acquainted8 with all my ways. |
Ps 139:4 | For there is not9 a word in my tongue, but, lo, O LORD, thou knowest10 it altogether. |
Ps 139:5 LIMITATIONS, HUMAN | Thou hast beset me11 behind and before, and laid12 thine hand upon me. |
Ps 139:6 | Such knowledge13 is too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot attain unto it. |
Ps 139:7 PRESENCE, DIVINE | ¶14Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence? |
Ps 139:8 HELL OMNIPRESENCE | If I ascend15 up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell16, behold, thou art there. |
Ps 139:9 GUIDANCE | If I take17 the wings18 of the morning, and dwell19 in the uttermost parts of the sea; |
Ps 139:10 GUIDANCE JONAH OR JONAS | ¶20Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me. |
Ps 139:11 | If I say, Surely21 the darkness shall cover me; even the night22 shall be light about me. |
Ps 139:12 | Yea, the darkness23 hideth not24 from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee. |
Ps 139:13 REINS | For thou25 hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me26 in my mother's womb. |
Ps 139:14 WORKS OF GOD, WONDERFUL | I will praise thee; for I am fearfully27 and wonderfully made: marvellous28 are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well29. |
Ps 139:15 NATURE'S MYSTERIES | My substance30 was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest31 parts of the earth. |
Ps 139:16 BLINDNESS-VISION | Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book32 all my members33 were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them. |
Ps 139:17 | and for his infinite mercies. |
Ps 139:17 THOUGHTS, GOD'S | ¶ How precious34 also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great35 is the sum of them! |
Ps 139:18 | If I should count them, they are more36 in number than the sand: when I awake37, I am still with thee. |
Ps 139:19 | He defies the wicked. |
Ps 139:19 RIGHTEOUS-WICKED | Surely38 thou wilt slay the wicked, O God: depart from39 me therefore, ye bloody men. |
Ps 139:20 | ¶ For they speak40 against thee wickedly, and thine41 enemies take thy name in vain. |
Ps 139:21 | Do not I42 hate them, O LORD, that hate thee? and am not43 I grieved with those that rise up against thee? |
Ps 139:22 | I hate them44 with perfect hatred: I count them mine enemies. |
Ps 139:23 | He prays for sincerity. |
Ps 139:23 | Search me,45 O God, and know46 my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: |
Ps 139:24 | And see47 if there be any wicked way48 in me, and lead49 me in the way50 everlasting. |
