Ps 109:2 | For the mouth4 of the wicked and the mouth of the deceitful5 are opened against me: they have spoken against me with a lying tongue. |
Ps 109:3 | They compassed6 me about also with words of hatred; and fought7 against me without a cause. |
Ps 109:4 | For my8 love they are my adversaries: but I9 give myself unto prayer. |
Ps 109:5 GRATITUDE-INGRATITUDE | And they10 have rewarded me evil for good, and hatred11 for my love. |
Ps 109:6 IMPRECATIONS | ¶ Set thou12 a wicked man over him: and let13 Satan14 stand at his right hand. |
Ps 109:7 | When he shall be judged, let him be condemned15: and let16 his prayer become sin. |
Ps 109:8 JUDAS | Let his days17 be few; and let another18 take his office19. |
Ps 109:9 | 20Let his children be fatherless, and his wife a widow. |
Ps 109:10 BEGGARS | ¶21Let his children be continually vagabonds, and beg: let them seek their bread also out of their desolate places. |
Ps 109:11 | Let the extortioner22 catch all that he hath; and let the strangers23 spoil his labour. |
Ps 109:12 | Let there be none24 to extend mercy unto him: neither let there be any to favour25 his fatherless children. |
Ps 109:13 MEMORY-OBLIVION | Let his26 posterity be cut off; and in the generation following let their name27 be blotted out. |
Ps 109:14 | Let the28 iniquity of his fathers be remembered with the LORD; and let not29 the sin of his mother be blotted30 out. |
Ps 109:15 MEMORY-OBLIVION | Let them be before31 the LORD continually, that he may cut off32 the memory of them from the earth. |

Ps 109:16 EARNESTNESS-INDIFFERENCE POVERTY-RICHES | Because that he remembered33 not to shew mercy, but persecuted34 the poor and needy man, that he might even slay35 the broken in heart. |
Ps 109:17 BLASPHEMY, PROFANITY, CURSING | 36As he loved cursing, so let it come unto him: as he delighted not in blessing, so let it be far from him. |
Ps 109:18 GARMENT OF SIN | As he37 clothed himself with cursing like as with his garment, so let38 it come into his bowels39 like water, and like oil into his bones. |
Ps 109:19 | Let it be unto him as the garment40 which covereth him, and for a girdle wherewith he is girded continually. |
Ps 109:20 BATTLE OF LIFE | ¶ Let this41 be the reward of mine adversaries from the LORD, and of them42 that speak evil against my soul. |
Ps 109:21 | Complaining of his own misery, he prays for help. |
Ps 109:21 | ¶ But do43 thou for me, O GOD the Lord, for thy name's sake: because thy mercy44 is good, deliver thou me. |
Ps 109:22 POOR AND NEEDY | For I45 am poor and needy, and my46 heart is wounded within me. |
Ps 109:23 | I am gone47 like the shadow when it declineth: I am tossed48 up and down as the locust. |
Ps 109:24 | My knees49 are weak through fasting; and my flesh50 faileth of fatness. |
Ps 109:25 | I became also a reproach51 unto them: when they52 looked upon me they shaked their heads. |
Ps 109:26 | Help53 me, O LORD my God: O save me54 according to thy mercy: |
Ps 109:27 | 55That they may know that this is thy hand; that thou, LORD, hast done it. |
Ps 109:28 | Let them56 curse, but bless thou: when they arise, let them be ashamed; but let57 thy servant rejoice. |
Ps 109:29 | He promises thankfulness. |
Ps 109:29 | Let mine adversaries be clothed58 with shame, and let them cover themselves with their own confusion, as with a mantle. |
Ps 109:30 | ¶ I will greatly59 praise the LORD with my mouth; yea, I will praise60 him among the multitude. |
Ps 109:31 PROMISES, DIVINE | For he61 shall stand at the right hand of the poor62, to save63 him from those that condemn64 his soul. |
