¶ Thus saith the LORD to his¹ anointed, to Cyrus, whose² right hand I have holden³, to subdue⁴ nations before him; and I will loose the loins of kings, to open⁵ before him the two leaved gates; and the gates shall not be shut;

I will go before⁶ thee, and make⁷ the crooked places straight: I will break⁸ in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron:

And I will give⁹ thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou¹⁰ mayest know that I, the LORD, which call¹¹ thee by thy name, am the God of Israel.

For Jacob¹² my servant's sake, and Israel mine elect, I have even¹³ called thee by thy name: I have surnamed thee, though¹⁴ thou hast not known me.

¶ I am the LORD¹⁵, and there is none else, there is no God beside me: I girded thee,¹⁶ though thou hast not known me:

¹⁷That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside me. I am the LORD, and there is none else.

I form¹⁸ the light, and create darkness¹⁹: I make peace²⁰, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.

Drop down²¹, ye heavens, from above, and let the skies pour down righteousness: let the earth²² open, and let them bring forth salvation, and let righteousness spring up together; I the LORD²³ have created it.

Woe unto him²⁴ that striveth with his Maker! Let the potsherd strive with the potsherds of the earth. Shall the clay²⁵ say to him that fashioneth it, What makest thou? or thy work, He hath no hands?

¶²⁶Woe unto him that saith unto his father, What begettest thou? or to the woman, What hast thou brought forth?

¶ Thus saith the LORD, the Holy One²⁷ of Israel, and his Maker, Ask²⁸ me of things to come concerning my sons²⁹, and concerning the work³⁰ of my hands command³¹ ye me.

I have made the earth³², and created man upon it: I, even my hands³³, have stretched out the heavens, and all their host³⁴ have I commanded.

I have raised him³⁵ up in righteousness³⁶, and I will direct³⁷ all his ways: he shall build³⁸ my city, and he shall let go³⁹ my captives, not for price⁴⁰ nor reward, saith the LORD of hosts.

Thus saith the LORD, The labour⁴¹ of Egypt, and merchandise of Ethiopia and of the Sabeans⁴², men of stature⁴³, shall come over unto thee, and they shall be thine: they shall come after thee; in chains⁴⁴ they shall come over, and they shall fall⁴⁵ down unto thee, they shall make supplication unto thee, saying, Surely⁴⁶ God is in thee; and there⁴⁷ is none else, there is no God.

Verily thou art a God⁴⁸ that hidest thyself, O God⁴⁹ of Israel, the Saviour.

⁵⁰They shall be ashamed, and also confounded, all of them: they shall go to confusion together that are makers of idols.

But Israel⁵¹ shall be saved in the LORD with an everlasting⁵² salvation: ye shall not⁵³ be ashamed nor confounded world without end.

For thus saith the LORD that created⁵⁴ the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created⁵⁵ it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am⁵⁶ the LORD; and there is none else.

I have not spoken⁵⁷ in secret, in a dark place of the earth: I said not unto the seed of Jacob, Seek⁵⁸ ye me in vain: I the LORD speak righteousness⁵⁹, I declare things that are right.

¶ Assemble yourselves⁶⁰ and come; draw near together, ye that are escaped⁶¹ of the nations: they⁶² have no knowledge that set up the wood of their graven image, and pray unto a god that cannot save.

Tell ye,⁶³ and bring⁶⁴ them near; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath declared⁶⁵ this from ancient time? who hath told it from that time? have not I the LORD? and there is⁶⁶ no God else beside me; a just⁶⁷ God and a Saviour; there is none beside me.

Look⁶⁸ unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for⁶⁹ I am God, and there is none else.

I have sworn⁷⁰ by myself, the word⁷¹ is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto⁷² me every knee shall bow, every tongue⁷³ shall swear.

Surely,⁷⁴ shall one say, in the LORD have I righteousness⁷⁵ and strength: even⁷⁶ to him shall men come; and all⁷⁷ that are incensed against him shall be ashamed.

In the LORD⁷⁸ shall all the seed⁷⁹ of Israel be justified, and shall glory⁸⁰.
