You'll note that if you hit enter while connected, your idle time is zeroed
without you executing a command.  It is not difficult, however, to program
$bf_idle_time and $bf_force input to zero idle_time, if that is desired. 
However, the _actual_ idle_time is most useful in determining whether a
connection is dead or not.
