Verbs not accessable by index any more?

I dont remember reading this in the changelog so I'll assume this is a bug until someone shoots me down. :)
When I do this in 1.8.0alpha6:
; verb_info(#17, "0")
I now get the response:
#-1:Input to EVAL, line 5: Verb not found
if I do it using ; verb_info(#17, "+dig") it works fine.
I always used to be able to reference verbs via their index number, base 0.
If this was eliminated intentionally, (And I'll reread the changelog just in case...) then could some kind soul
inform me as to the new method of accessing duplicated verb names?
