Tit 3:1
Titus is yet further directed by Paul, both concerning the things that he should teach and not teach.
Tit 3:1
NATION, THE
READINESS-UNREADINESS
SILENCE-SPEECH

Put1 them in mind to be subject2 to principalities and powers, to obey magistrates, to be ready3 to every good work,

To speak4 evil of no5 man, to be no brawlers, but gentle6, shewing all meekness unto all men7.

SELF-INDULGENCE-SELF-DENIAL
SIN-SAVIOUR

For we8 ourselves also were sometimes foolish9, disobedient10, deceived11, serving12 divers lusts and pleasures, living13 in malice and envy, hateful14, and hating one another.

Tit 3:4
WORK AND WORKERS, RELIGIOUS

But after that the kindness15 and love16 of God our Saviour toward man appeared17,

MERCIFULNESS-UNMERCIFULNESS

WORK AND WORKERS, RELIGIOUS

Not by works18 of righteousness which we have done, but according19 to his mercy he saved us, by the washing20 of regeneration, and renewing21 of the Holy Ghost;

Which he shed22 on us abundantly23 through24 Jesus Christ our Saviour;

That being25 justified by his grace, we should be made26 heirs according to the hope27 of eternal life.

This is a faithful28 saying, and these things I will that thou29 affirm constantly, that they which30 have believed in God might be31 careful to maintain good32 works. These things are good and profitable unto men.

But avoid33 foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable34 and vain.

He is to reject obstinate heretics.

A man that is an heretick35 after36 the first and second admonition reject37;

Knowing that he that is such is subverted38, and sinneth, being39 condemned of himself.

He appoints him time and place wherein he should come unto him.

When I shall send Artemas unto thee, or Tychicus40, be41 diligent to come unto me to Nicopolis: for42 I have determined there to winter.

Bring Zenas the lawyer43 and Apollos44 on45 their journey diligently, that nothing be wanting unto them.

Tit 3:14

And let ours also learn46 to maintain good works47 for necessary uses, that48 they be not unfruitful.

Tit 3:15
