Re 8:1 | At the opening of the seventh seal, |
Re 8:1 | ¶ And1 when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence2 in heaven about the space of half an hour. |
Re 8:2 | Seven angels have seven trumpets given them. |
Re 8:2 ANGELS SEVEN | And I saw the seven angels3 which stood before God; and to them were given seven trumpets4. |
Re 8:3 CENSERS INCENSE PRAYER | And another6 angel came and stood8 at the altar, having9 a golden censer; and there was given unto him much10 incense, that he should offer it with the prayers11 of all saints upon the golden12 altar which was before the throne. |
Re 8:4 PRAYER | 13And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel's hand. |
Re 8:5 | And the angel took the censer, and filled14 it with fire of the altar, and cast it into15 the earth: and there were voices, and thunderings, and lightnings, and an16 earthquake. |
Re 8:6 | Four of them sound their trumpets and great plagues follow. |
Re 8:6 | 17And the seven angels which had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound. |
Re 8:7 METEOROLOGY | ¶ The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and18 fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon19 the earth: and the third part20 of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up. |
Re 8:8 | And the second angel sounded, and as21 it were a great mountain burning22 with fire was cast into the sea: and the third23 part of the sea became blood; |
Re 8:9 | Another angel puts incense to the prayers of the saints on the golden altar. |
Re 8:9 | And the third part of the creatures24 which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third part of the ships25 were destroyed. |
Re 8:10 | ¶ And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great26 star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains27 of waters; |
Re 8:11 WORMWOOD | And the name of the star is called Wormwood28: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many29 men died of the waters, because they were made bitter. |
Re 8:12 | And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun30 was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; so as the third part of them was darkened, and the day31 shone not for a third part of it, and the night likewise. |
Re 8:13 | And I beheld, and heard an angel flying32 through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice, Woe33, woe, woe, to the inhabiters of the earth by reason of the other voices of the trumpet of the three angels, which are yet to sound! |
