Lu 4:2 CHRIST'S DIVINITY-HUMANITY PERIODS AND NUMBERS SELF-INDULGENCE-SELF-DENIAL TEMPTATION | Being forty6 days tempted7 of the devil. And in those days he did8 eat nothing: and when they were ended, he afterward9 hungered. |
Lu 4:3 | 10And the devil said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, command this stone that it be made bread. |
Lu 4:4 | And Jesus answered him, saying, It11 is written, That12 man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God. |
Lu 4:5 TEMPTATION | And the devil, taking13 him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in14 a moment of time. |
Lu 4:6 SATAN-EVIL SPIRITS | And the devil said unto him, All15 this power will I give thee, and the16 glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to17 whomsoever I will I give it. |

Lu 4:8 | And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get19 thee behind me, Satan: for20 it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only21 shalt thou serve. |
Lu 4:9 Jerusalem | And he brought22 him to Jerusalem, and set him on23 a pinnacle of the temple, and said unto him, If24 thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down from hence: |
Lu 4:10 | ¶ For it25 is written, He26 shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee: |
Lu 4:11 | And in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone. |
Lu 4:12 | And Jesus answering said unto him, It is said, Thou27 shalt not tempt the Lord thy God. |
Lu 4:13 SATAN-EVIL SPIRITS | 28And when the devil had ended all the temptation, he departed from him for a season. |

Lu 4:14 GALILEE WEAKNESS-POWER Galilee | ¶ And Jesus returned29 in30 the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there31 went out a fame of him through all the region round about. |

Lu 4:35 MIRACLES | And Jesus81 rebuked him, saying, Hold thy peace, and come out of him. And when the devil had thrown82 him in the midst, he came out of him, and hurt him not. |
Lu 4:36 ASTONISHMENT | And they were83 all amazed, and spake among themselves, saying, What84 a word is this! for with authority and power he commandeth the unclean spirits, and they come85 out. |
