¶ Masters, give¹ unto your servants that which is just and equal; knowing that ye² also have a Master in heaven.

¶ Continue³ in prayer, and watch⁵ in the same with thanksgiving⁶;

Withal praying⁷ also for us, that⁸ God would open unto us a door⁹ of utterance, to speak the mystery¹⁰ of Christ, for¹¹ which I am also in bonds:

That I may¹² make it manifest, as¹³ I ought to speak.

¶ Walk¹⁴ in wisdom toward them¹⁵ that are without, redeeming¹⁶ the time.

Let your¹⁷ speech be alway with grace, seasoned¹⁸ with salt, that ye may know how¹⁹ ye ought to answer every man.

¶ All my²⁰ state shall Tychicus²¹ declare unto you, who is a beloved²² brother, and a faithful²⁴ minister and fellowservant in the Lord:

Whom I have²⁵ sent unto you for the same purpose, that he might know your estate, and comfort²⁶ your hearts;

With Onesimus²⁷, a faithful and beloved brother, who is one of you. They shall make known unto you all things which are done here.

¶ Aristarchus²⁸ my fellowprisoner saluteth²⁹ you, and Marcus³⁰, sister's son to Barnabas, (touching whom ye received commandments: if he come unto you, receive³¹ him;)

And Jesus, which is called Justus, who³² are of the circumcision. These only are my fellowworkers³³ unto the kingdom of God, which have been a comfort³⁴ unto me.

Epaphras³⁵, who is one of you, a servant³⁶ of Christ, saluteth you, always³⁷ labouring³⁸ fervently for you in prayers, that³⁹ ye may stand perfect and complete⁴⁰ in all the will of God.

For I bear⁴¹ him record, that he hath a great zeal for you, and them that are in Laodicea⁴², and them in Hierapolis.
