  Vs: 18 En: 360:160  Gr:: 312:147

2Th 3:1
Paul craves their prayers for himself;
2Th 3:1
PRAYER

Finally, brethren, pray1 for us, that the word2 of the Lord may have free course3, and be glorified, even4 as it is with you:

2Th 3:2
FAITH-UNBELIEF

And that we may be delivered5 from unreasonable6 and wicked men: for all men have not faith.

2Th 3:3
testifies what confidence he has in them;
2Th 3:3
FAITHFULNESS-UNFAITHFULNESS
PROVIDENCE DIVINE
SHEPHERD, CHRIST AS

But the Lord7 is faithful, who shall stablish8 you, and9 keep you from evil.

2Th 3:4

And we have10 confidence in the Lord touching you, that11 ye both do and will do the things which we command you.

2Th 3:5
makes request to God in their behalf;
2Th 3:5
LOVE-HATRED

And the Lord12 direct your hearts into13 the love of God, and into14 the patient waiting for Christ15.

2Th 3:6
gives them divers precepts, especially to shun idleness, and ill company;
2Th 3:6
ASSOCIATION-SEPARATION
ASSOCIATION-SEPARATION

Now we command you, brethren, in the16 name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye17 withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh18 disorderly, and not after19 the tradition which he received of us.

2Th 3:7
CONDUCT, CHRISTIAN
EXAMPLE

For yourselves know how20 ye ought to follow us: for21 we behaved not ourselves disorderly among you;

2Th 3:8
LEADERS, RELIGIOUS

Neither did we eat22 any man's bread for nought; but23 wrought with labour and travail night24 and day, that we might not be chargeable to any of you:

2Th 3:9
EXAMPLE
IMITATION, SPIRITUAL
LEADERS, RELIGIOUS

Not25 because we have not power, but to make26 ourselves an ensample unto you to follow us.

2Th 3:10

For even when27 we were with you, this we commanded you, that28 if any would not work, neither should he eat.

2Th 3:11
ACTIVITY, EVIL
BUSINESS LIFE

For we hear that there are some which walk29 among you disorderly, working30 not at all, but are busybodies.

2Th 3:12
BUSINESS LIFE
EXHORTATIONS
QUIETNESS-TUMULT

Now them that are such we31 command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ, that with32 quietness they work, and eat33 their own bread.

2Th 3:13

But ye34, brethren, be not weary35 in well doing.

2Th 3:14
ASSOCIATION-SEPARATION

And if any man obey36 not our word by this epistle, note that man,37 and have no company with him, that he38 may be ashamed.

2Th 3:15
COMMENDATION-REPROOF

Yet count39 him not as an enemy, but admonish40 him as a brother.

2Th 3:16
and then concludes with prayer and salutation.
2Th 3:16
REST-UNREST

Now the Lord of41 peace himself give42 you peace always by all means. The Lord be44 with you all.

2Th 3:17

The salutation of Paul with45 mine own hand, which is the token46 in every epistle: so I write.

2Th 3:18
BENEDICTIONS

The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen. The second epistle to the Thessalonians was written from Athens.]
