Isa 8:2 | And I took5 unto me faithful witnesses to record, Uriah the priest, and Zechariah the son of Jeberechiah. |
Isa 8:3 | And I went7 unto the prophetess; and she conceived8, and bare a son. Then said the LORD to me, Call his name9 Mahershalalhashbaz10. |
Isa 8:4 SAMARIA Samaria Damascus Assyria | For before11 the child shall have knowledge to cry, My father, and my mother, the riches of Damascus12 and the spoil of Samaria shall be taken away before the king of Assyria. |

Isa 8:6 Shiloah | Forasmuch as this people refuseth14 the waters of Shiloah15 that go softly17, and rejoice18 in Rezin and Remaliah's son; |
Isa 8:7 River Assyria | Now therefore, behold, the Lord bringeth19 up upon them the waters of the river, strong20 and many, even the king21 of Assyria, and all his glory: and he shall come22 up over all his channels, and go over all his banks: |
Isa 8:8 CANAAN, LAND OF CANAAN, LAND OF IMMANUEL | And he shall pass23 through Judah; he shall overflow and go over, he shall reach24 even to the neck; and the stretching25 out of his wings shall fill the breadth of thy land, O Immanuel26. |
Isa 8:9 | God's judgments shall be irresistible. |
Isa 8:9 | ¶ Associate28 yourselves, O ye people, and ye29 shall be broken in pieces; and give ear, all ye of far countries: gird30 yourselves, and ye shall be broken in pieces; gird yourselves, and ye shall be broken in pieces. |
Isa 8:10 | ¶ Take counsel31 together, and it shall come to nought; speak the word, and it shall not stand: for God32 is with us. |

Isa 8:11 INSTRUCTION | For the LORD spake thus to me with a strong hand33, and instructed34 me that I should not walk in the way of this people, saying, |
Isa 8:12 COURAGE-FEAR | Say ye not, A confederacy35, to all them to whom this people shall say, A confederacy; neither fear ye36 their fear, nor be afraid. |
Isa 8:13 REVERENCE-IRREVERENCE | Sanctify37 the LORD of hosts himself; and let him38 be your fear, and let him be your dread. |
Isa 8:14 CHRIST JESUS Jerusalem | And he shall be39 for a sanctuary; but for a stone40 of stumbling and for a rock of offence to both the houses of Israel, for a gin and for a snare41 to the inhabitants of Jerusalem. |
Isa 8:15 RIGHTEOUS-WICKED | And many among them shall stumble42, and fall, and be broken, and be snared, and be taken. |
Isa 8:16 | ¶ Bind up43 the testimony44, seal45 the law among46 my disciples. |
Isa 8:17 WAITING UPON GOD | And I will47 wait upon the LORD, that hideth48 his face from the house of Jacob, and I will look49 for him. |
Isa 8:18 HOME Mount Zion | Behold, I and the50 children whom the LORD hath given me are for signs51 and for wonders in Israel from the LORD of hosts, which52 dwelleth in mount Zion. |
Isa 8:19 | Great afflictions to idolaters. |
Isa 8:19 MAGIC MAGIC | And when they shall say unto you, Seek53 unto them that have familiar spirits, and unto wizards that peep54, and that mutter: should not55 a people seek unto their God? for the living56 to the dead? |
Isa 8:20 BIBLE, THE; THE WORD OF GOD | ¶ To the law57 and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is58 because there is no light59 in them. |
Isa 8:21 CONTENT-DISCONTENT | And they shall pass through60 it, hardly bestead61 and hungry: and it shall come to pass, that when they shall be hungry, they shall fret62 themselves, and curse63 their king and their God, and look upward. |
Isa 8:22 PROSPERITY-ADVERSITY | And they shall look64 unto the earth; and behold trouble and darkness, dimness of anguish; and they shall be driven to darkness65. |
