Eze 27:1 | ¶ The word of the LORD came again unto me, saying, |
Eze 27:2 Tyre | 1Now, thou son of man, take up a lamentation for Tyrus; |
Eze 27:3 Tyre | And say unto Tyrus, O thou2 that art situate at the entry of the sea, which art a merchant3 of the people for many isles, Thus saith the Lord GOD; O Tyrus, thou hast said, I am4 of perfect beauty5. |
Eze 27:4 | Thy borders are in the midst6 of the seas, thy builders have perfected thy beauty. |
Eze 27:5 Senir Lebanon | They have made7 all thy ship boards of fir trees of Senir8: they have taken cedars from Lebanon to make masts for thee. |
Eze 27:6 IVORY Bashan Cyprus | Of the oaks10 of Bashan have they made thine oars; the company11 of the Ashurites have made thy benches of ivory, brought out of the isles of Chittim. |
Eze 27:7 Egypt Elishah | Fine linen14 with broidered work from Egypt was that which thou spreadest forth to be thy sail; blue and purple15 from the isles of Elishah16 was that which covered thee. |
Eze 27:8 Tyre Sidon Arvad | The inhabitants of Zidon17 and Arvad19 were thy mariners: thy wise20 men, O Tyrus, that were in thee, were thy pilots. |
Eze 27:9 ARTS AND CRAFTS Gebal | The ancients of Gebal21 and the wise men thereof were in thee thy calkers22: all the ships of the sea with their mariners were in thee to occupy thy merchandise. |
Eze 27:10 Lud Put Persia | ¶ They of Persia23 and of Lud24 and of Phut were in thine army, thy men of war: they hanged25 the shield and helmet in thee; they set forth thy comeliness. |
Eze 27:11 Arvad Gamad Helech | The men of Arvad26 with thine army were upon thy walls round about, and the Gammadims were in thy towers: they hanged their shields upon thy walls round about; they have27 made thy beauty perfect. |
Eze 27:12 BUSINESS LIFE TARSHISH OR THARSHISH TIN Tarshish | 28Tarshish was thy merchant by reason of the multitude of all kind of riches; with silver, iron, tin, and lead, they traded in thy fairs. |
Eze 27:13 TUBAL Javan Tubal Meshech | Javan29, Tubal30, and Meshech, they were thy merchants: they traded the persons31 of men and vessels of brass in thy market32. |
Eze 27:14 Beth-togarmah | They of the house of Togarmah33 traded in thy fairs with horses and horsemen and mules. |
Eze 27:15 Dedan | The men of Dedan34 were thy merchants; many isles were the merchandise of thine hand: they brought thee for a present horns of ivory35 and ebony. |

Eze 27:17 BALM HONEY Minnith | Judah, and the land of Israel, they were thy merchants: they traded in thy market wheat39 of Minnith40, and Pannag, and honey, and oil, and balm41. |
Eze 27:18 Damascus Helbon Sahar | Damascus42 was thy merchant in the multitude of the wares of thy making, for the multitude of all riches; in the wine of Helbon43, and white wool. |
Eze 27:19 CANE, SWEET OR CALAMUS CASSIA Uzal | Dan44 also and Javan going to and fro45 occupied in thy fairs: bright iron, cassia, and calamus, were in thy market. |
Eze 27:20 Dedan | ¶ Dedan46 was thy merchant in precious clothes47 for chariots. |
Eze 27:21 Arabia Kedar | Arabia48, and all the princes of Kedar49, they occupied with thee50 in lambs, and rams, and goats: in these were they thy merchants. |
Eze 27:22 SHEBA Raamah Sheba | The merchants of Sheba51 and Raamah, they were thy merchants: they occupied in thy fairs with chief of all spices, and with all precious stones, and gold. |
Eze 27:23 Canneh Asshur Chilmad Haran Sheba Eden | Haran52, and Canneh54, and Eden58, the merchants of Sheba59, Asshur60, and Chilmad, were thy merchants. |
Eze 27:24 CEDAR CHESTS DRESS | These were thy merchants in all sorts of things,61 in blue clothes, and broidered work, and in chests of rich apparel, bound with cords, and made of cedar, among thy merchandise. |
Eze 27:25 Tarshish | The ships62 of Tarshish did sing of thee in thy market: and thou wast replenished, and made very glorious63 in the midst of the seas. |
Eze 27:26 | The great and irrecoverable fall thereof. |
Eze 27:26 | ¶ Thy rowers64 have brought thee into great65 waters: the east66 wind hath broken thee in the midst67 of the seas. |
Eze 27:27 | Thy riches68, and thy fairs, thy merchandise, thy mariners, and thy pilots, thy calkers, and the occupiers of thy merchandise, and all thy men of war, that are in thee, and in all69 thy company which is in the midst70 of thee, shall fall into the midst of the seas in the day of thy ruin. |
Eze 27:28 | The suburbs71 shall shake at the sound of the cry of thy pilots. |
Eze 27:29 MARINERS | And all that handle72 the oar, the mariners, and all the pilots of the sea, shall come73 down from their ships, they shall stand upon the land; |
Eze 27:30 DUST | ¶ And shall cause74 their voice to be heard against thee, and shall cry bitterly, and shall cast75 up dust upon their heads, they shall wallow76 themselves in the ashes: |
Eze 27:31 BALDNESS | And they shall make77 themselves utterly bald for thee, and gird them with sackcloth, and they shall weep78 for thee with bitterness of heart and bitter wailing. |
Eze 27:32 WAILING Tyre | And in their wailing they shall take up79 a lamentation for thee, and lament over thee, saying, What city80 is like Tyrus, like the destroyed81 in the midst of the sea? |
Eze 27:33 | When thy wares82 went forth out of the seas, thou filledst many people; thou didst enrich the kings of the earth with the83 multitude of thy riches and of thy merchandise. |
Eze 27:34 | 84In the time when thou shalt be broken by the seas in the depths of the waters thy merchandise and all thy company in the midst of thee shall fall. |
Eze 27:35 | All the inhabitants85 of the isles shall be astonished at thee, and their kings86 shall be sore afraid, they shall be troubled in their countenance. |
Eze 27:36 | The merchants among the people shall hiss87 at thee; thou shalt88 be a terror89, and never shalt be any more. |
