De 16:1 PASSOVER Egypt | ¶ Observe the month1 of Abib, and keep the passover2 unto the LORD thy God: for in3 the month of Abib the LORD thy God brought thee forth out of Egypt by night. |
De 16:2 SACRED PLACES | Thou shalt therefore sacrifice4 the passover unto the LORD thy God, of the flock and the herd, in the place which5 the LORD shall choose to place his name there. |
De 16:3 Egypt | Thou shalt eat no6 leavened bread with it; seven days shalt thou eat unleavened bread therewith, even the bread7 of affliction; for thou camest8 forth out of the land of Egypt in haste: that thou mayest9 remember the day when thou camest forth out of the land of Egypt all the days of thy life. |
De 16:4 LEAVEN | And there shall10 be no leavened bread seen with thee in all thy coast seven days; neither11 shall there any thing of the flesh, which thou sacrificedst the first day at even, remain all night until the morning. |

De 16:6 Egypt | But at the place which the LORD thy God shall choose to place his name in, there thou shalt sacrifice the passover at even13, at the going down of the sun, at the season that thou camest forth out of Egypt. |
De 16:7 | And thou shalt roast14 and eat it in the place15 which the LORD thy God shall choose: and thou shalt turn in the morning, and go unto thy tents. |
De 16:8 BREAD | Six days16 thou shalt eat unleavened bread: and on the seventh day shall be a solemn assembly17 to the LORD thy God: thou shalt do no work therein. |

De 16:15 AGRICULTURE-HORTICULTURE | Seven days26 shalt thou keep a solemn feast unto the LORD thy God in the place which the LORD shall choose: because27 the LORD thy God shall bless thee in all thine increase, and in all the works of thine hands, therefore thou shalt surely rejoice. |

De 16:18 COURTS GATES ISRAEL-THE JEWS NATION, THE | ¶ Judges31 and officers shalt thou make thee in all thy gates32, which the LORD thy God giveth thee, throughout thy tribes: and they shall judge the people with just judgment. |
De 16:19 COURTS JUSTICE-INJUSTICE REWARD-PUNISHMENT | Thou shalt not wrest33 judgment; thou shalt not respect34 persons, neither take a gift: for a gift doth blind the eyes of the wise, and pervert the words35 of the righteous. |
De 16:20 JUSTICE-INJUSTICE | ¶ That which36 is altogether just shalt thou follow, that thou mayest live37, and inherit the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee. |
De 16:21 | Groves and images are forbidden. |
De 16:21 FALSE WORSHIP TREES | 38Thou shalt not plant thee a grove of any trees near unto the altar of the LORD thy God, which thou shalt make thee. |
De 16:22 FALSE WORSHIP | Neither shalt thou set thee up any image39; which40 the LORD thy God hateth. |
