Question about global object constructors, VxWorks, and GCC

I also had this problem with VxWorks 5.1 and GCC 2.95 on i960. It generates some
stuff with dollars which is supposed to be called automatically, but VxWorks does
not call it.I did not find a works around better then not to use global
constructors. In my case it was not a big deal because we are switching from C to
C++.
But I am also interested in a better solution.
