The Chalmette Gospel Brass has gained national recognition for their unique gospel-style jazz music. The band has traveled and played throughout southern Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas. The Band has performed at Magic Mountain in California for two years, and at the General Conference of the United Pentecostal Church International in Kentucky.

The band members, all St. Bernard Parish residents, use their vacations to promote the work of God through music. Since the band was founded it has produced two recordings, "Riverside" and "Brass Tacks," with such favorites as "Give Me That Old Time Religion," "Just a Closer Walk with Thee" and "Amazing Grace". The "Riverside" tape is available thru the Church at a cost of $10 plus $2 for shipping and handling. "Brass Tacks" is available both on cassette and CD.
