Bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzt! That is not correct! Controversy
is not the issue for the reason of an archival gap. As I recall, the gap
goes from about Labor Day (first weekend of September) to about 4 weeks from
then.
The reason why it isn't in the archives is because the machine that hosts
the archives (www.higherfire.org) is also Bro Robert Brown III's work machine
at Elijah Laboratories - eli.elilabs.com. That machine received a major
upgrade in OS (from Slackware Linux kernel 2.0.35 --> Red Hat Linux 6.0
w/ kernel 2.2.?). During that time, we had no automatic mechanism to capture
posts sent from Higher-fire to that machine because after a few days, all of
the user accounts (of which the Higher-fire archives are one of them) hosted
on eli.elilabs.com were all automatically unsubscribed from the mailing list
as the the listprocessor wasn't able to find a route to the host.
I have most all of the digests during that time (I think I'm missing the first
four or five in that time period) in a MS Outlook Express folder. But I've
not copied them to the archives and merged them into the collective discussions
that have been ongoing ever since the archives operation. Between my volunteer
work with www.higherfire.org, eli.elilabs.com, and Higher-fire, and other
activities that consume my extra time ... adding this content back to the
higher-fire archives isn't way up there on the priority list.
