Marlon S Boyd: Can having your sins washed away at water baptism really be
considered work on the baptizee's behalf.
(James)? Belief without works is dead. As a work, God simply requires our
submission to His word.

Me: Agreeing to be baptized is not a work as much as it is obeying a commandment.

Marlon S Boyd: True faith and belief are inevitably consummated by actions. Not
by performing actions devised by man, but rather by performing those deeds
which Christ requires through His word.

Me: Then is obedience work? Can we put our faith in Yahshua for our salvation and
still obey all the commandments and not be accused of resting in the law? Even
though Yahshua’s death has saved us from all sin, are we still required to obey
the law or are we released from it?
