It's probably best not to engage in a conversation when you've mis-read
somewhere something I've not said. I was only responding to a person on
this list who said that "on another forum" or some e-mail list that this
former Church of Christ preacher was skeptical about the Bible. Church
of Christ people are not skeptical, but only believe what they feel is
for today. That is why they believe tongues have ceased and miracles are
not for today. This is not "skepticism". They are in a frame of mind
that God does not do those things anymore. In our church, we have people
from all walks of life as well. Some have come from JW's, Mormons, etc.
But they believe the Word now in its fulness. 

So the original conversation was not about a former C of C individual
who later comes to understand the Bible. It was about a C of C
individual who no longer believes the Bible. This is the skepticism I'm
referring to...not what you pointed out.
