I'd have to agree with this to a certain extent.

First - people will believe what they want to believe. When there's
a single voice of reason to show to the contrary, that doesn't
carry much weight when they are set against the *flow* of the
original post. You can have incredible points to show to the
contrary and do so with dignity ... nevertheless your effort
won't be rewarded with a high amount of people changing their
minds to your point of view.

Second - on the 'net in newsgroups... people can basically say whatever
is on their mind. Regardless of whether it's true or false.
The sad thing about that, is that many folk can't distinguish
between truth and false as they wallow in falsity and establish
their lives in untruth. It's like their compass points "south"
instead of "north". Battling their *natural* compass direction
is difficult when the magnetism we posess is far less than the
pull of a larger body. So, the trick would be to somehow
introduce them to God (who has the largest amount of PULL) in
that his magnetism would re-align their compasses to the proper
direction. Once that has happened, then they'll see the error
in the direction they've previously judged everything.

Third - on the 'net in newsgroups... people are ruthless and don't act
with any degree of righteousness. Don't expect people to be
kind as what happens in there is no different than a public
throughway on the streets or at the mall. If anything, they can
be generally more cruel in an anonymous type discussion place
(where they can become something they are not) in their abuse of
         the people in the newsgroups.
