letter from a satanist

I received this from a friend today.  He dug it out of his own email
archives.  This was forwarded to him by a friend of his who is a
satanist.  He and I have been talking to him for several years.  I do
not know the original author.  The names of my friends have been
witheld; only the original letter appears here.  I am posting this
since it is a genuine letter from a sincere believer in satanism.  I
thought it would provide a good topic for discussion for a while.

Fellow Satanists,

First of all, I would like to express my disbelief at the responses
to my last message (on community Satanists).  Although, like I
said, the suggestion is not the right thing to do, and has nothing to do
with what I actually believe should be done, I nonetheless had a hard time
understanding how so many could have had the true message fly over their
heads like that.  No offense, for most likely the fault is mine in not
expressing myself sufficiently.  But let's drop the subject now.

Secondly, the minions of the Dark One are not scattered but held together
by belief, the Master is not anonymous, nor lurking in the shadows, ready
to pounce on the populace and bring woe and despair to the ignorant and
stupid.  No, He is omnipotent, omnipresent, and all-powerful.

He is the "little" voice in us all which rebels against God, unjustified
love, and general forgiveness.  He is always there, and the people know
it.  Some revel in it, most fear it, but He can never be ignored.  Whether
anyone knows it or not, they very deeply believe in the Satanic ways.
This belief runs deep, deep down to the base of the soul and spirit, the
foundation upon which all other life exists, and must exist.

No other religion, moral code or societal force can ever completely
overcome this, only cover it up in a thin sheet of trickery and deceit,
through which can yet still be seen the Truth, the sight of which may only
cause grief and frustration upon the ones who are running from it.

Thus are born the Satanists, those who peel back the sticky blanket of fog
and distortion to find the underlying understanding, the knowledge of which
fulfills desires, manifests the soul, and brings true happiness and justice
into this world of Chaos.

Thus is He born, the one true God, the creator of all, the end of all, and
meaning of all things. Thus is born the Magnificent LUCIFER, who will
bring with him the intelligence, power, and spirit to crush all false
opposition.  He is strong, He is everywhere, and, whether X-ians and the
such like it or not, He is here to stay.  All fall under His influence,
His laughing, watchful eye of reason, and all fall down to their knees
before His presence, which is in each of us.

Legions rally, conquer, and yet remain submissive to the will of Man and
the force in him known as Satan.

Blessed are the strong, for they NOW inherit the Earth!
And behold!  For We are Many!
