> Feeling well when I wrote that. I do think that Mr... Brown was attacking

> RJB: . It sounds a bit ambiguous to me:
I don't think it meant either *doubtful* or *uncertain* as you're suggesting.
To me, ambiguous doesn't mean so much doubtful or uncertain but *loose* and/
or *multiple interpretations*. Which is the 2nd definition from Merriam-
Webster at www.m-w.com ....
Main Entry: am·big·u·ous

> He was not there!!! He did not have the vision and how dare him judge what

He's not *condemning* what you said. He was stating his opinion on
how the interpretation of what was said during that service.... "Do we
do what God wants this way? The other way? Or how about this method?
Or maybe even another way? Etc. Etc. Etc."
He was showing you *how*, by what you had said, could be interpreted in
more than one way because what you showed us wasn't distinct (ambiguous).
Not doubtful or uncertain (as that is the older translation/use of the
word) but indistinct. Not specific.
> Then he proceeded to ask: Just exactly how is one to determine what to set
> aside?
> PRAY. God showed our family EXACTLY what to do. And Yes I KNOW it was God.
Again, I don't think he doubts that either. As before, when he said...
"Just exactly how is one to determine what to set aside"
... he's still showing how indistinct what was scribed earlier was. If he
were to take what you said to heart, it'd be up to him to determine *exactly*
what it was that he is to do. Do you do it this way... that way... the other
way... this way other way... the way of the way ... etc.
Please consider this... let's say someone says that you have to be baptized
to be saved. Let's also assume that you're not apostolic/oneness and have
no knowledge of what being baptized is. You've heard the catholics and the
catholic wannabe's *sprinkle*. You hear that the more evangelical protestant
faiths dunk you under. You hear some do it with a baptismal robe. You hear
some have to do it in a river, etc. You hear that some say it's done in the
name of the father, son, and holy ghost. You also hear some do it in jesus
name. You also hear that some do it in the name of yoshua hamashija. Plus
you start to realize that you can start combining the different methods of
baptizing (sprinkling, dunking), apparel (robes, plain clothes), location
(church, baptistry, pond, gravel pit, river, lake, ocean), and verbiage
used (F.S.HG, Jesus, Yoshua, Elohim, etc.) ... taking all those into
consideration... you realize that there is potentially dozens of ways to be
baptized. Maybe even hundreds by the time all of the combinations are
worked out. You then realize, that you believe that you need to be baptized
(you believe your friend), but you're unsure as to how to go about what they
have recommended by your research. They are on the mark. It's just that
what was told you was *insdistinct* in the scope. What they told you didn't
narrow down the field of possibilities. You see what I mean?
> I once again will apologize for my attitude especially if my physical
> condition is making me feel so attacked and judged.
It's prolly a good idea for anyone not to refrain from posting when they
aren't quite up to speed. As one would say... "If you're a few clowns
shortn of a full circus ... you probably shouldn't post". People should
make sure they are hitting on all cylinders if at all possible. If it
means delaying the post for a day or two or three or a week... that's fine,
the list can wait for the best anyone has.
> I made a comment, and
> yes I was in error for using the word earnings. When I typed it the word
> tithe was not in the brain. I was trying to be careful how I worded it
> because I KNEW someone, somewhere was going to have a field day on what I
> said. SO either way I get jumped on for either my wording or disbelief.
Wellllll.... you might have felt *jumped* by the reply. I'm quite positive
that there was no offense aimed at you. You gotta realize also that Bro
Brown is a real *geek* of sorts. His major in college was ... mathematics
(and maybe computer science) ... I think. Which are very specific. He also
wanted to be a marine biologist (something I just recently learned). Which
is also something very specific. So, his words in reply to what you had
originally typed weren't *attackful* so much as you're thinking. But a way
to narrow down the field of possibilities of what he saw was indistinct
(lacking specifics as he's accustomed).
The worst thing about the whole situation is that e-mail at the very best
is a poor communication medium. You can't see the person. You can barely
tell what might be going on. You can't necessarily even try and read between
the lines with much accuracy. Far insuperior to talking on the phone and
not even in the same leage with face-2-face.
It is extremely easy to mis-read someones reply in thinking that a reply
is unusually abrasive when e-mail is far less than a good media of thought
interchange.
