I also wondered what you meant by "earnings". Our church has a buffer in the
check books each year and that sustains us in years that the oil goes high
in price or that the roof decides it does not any longer need water or
whatever. I know that General Motors sells a car for $18,000 and the dealer
does not make $18,000. We have tithes and offerings come in, but distribute
it to various ministries both local and national/international. That does
not mean at the end of a year that we can show that we had $xxx for gain.
This was not a stab at you and calling you ignorant, but asking for
clairification. Like the old saying, "you may believe in 'paying tithes',
just as long as you 'give them' willingly and cheerfully".
