I will do these off the top of my head and in no real
detail.
First, as to Rev. Blumes assertion that God remade a
devastated world I would like to point out that Genesis
says "In the beginning God created Heaven and Earth." The
theory, which a beloved friend of mine held but would not
teach as
doctrine, was held according to him anyways, on the
reasoning that God doesn't create anything "empty and
void." When Genesis says "beginning" I think that is just
what it means. There is nothing in the Hebrew or the Greek
to allow that this word meant any thing other that the
onset of creation. Consider also Job 38:4, "Where
wast thou when I laid the foundations of the Earth? declare
if thou hast understanding." What was void and without
form was the "foundation" that God "then" refined and built
upon to give us the model of how we are to lay our
foundations in faith
in Christ and then from this build all things. Also, a cue
ball is void (empty) and without form (looks the same from
all sides).
Paul asked in 1 Corinthians 1:13, "Is Christ divided..."
The answer is of course, no. The orginizations are divided
in the same manner that Paul is rebuking the Corinthians.
To make my point let me restate the principle in like
manner as Paul, "One says that he is in the P. A. of W.
and another says he is in the UPC and another that he is an
Independant. Is the "body" divided?" The body is ALREADY
untied in Spirit and as Bro. Harrell said the orginizations
will not be united here. God's purpose for this list is
not to bring about unity in the Spirit but to EXPRESS AND
PRESERVE IT!
There is evidence that Pauls "thorn" was his eye sight. He
didn't recognize the "High Priest" that ordered him to be
slapped. The High Preist when "judging" someone would have
been very distinctive in his miter and breast plate. In
Galations
Paul stresses the fact that he had written the letter with
his "own hand." Why would this be worth mentioning? Pauls
earlier letters were clearly written by him, why is this a
big deal all of a sudden. Also Paul couldn't have been
speaking of persecution since he speaks of a single
messenger that was "given" to him. He was persecuted by
many.
Is it wrong to say to a Muslim "You are not talking about
the same God I am."? A Jew, a Jehovah Witness or a
Bhudist. Why the taboo for a Trinitarian. As to winning
Dave back if the witness that he has had won't do it he is
already gone, and in God's time the setting of the "gell"
or the hardening. There comes a time to call a "spade" a
"spade." " Acts 8, "19 Saying, Give me also this power,
that on whomsoever I lay hands, he may receive the Holy
Ghost. 20 But Peter said unto him, Thy money perish with
thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be
purchased with money. 21 Thou hast neither part nor lot in
this matter: for thy heart is not right in the sight of
God. 22 Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray
God, if perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven
thee. 23
For I perceive that thou art in the gall of bitterness, and
in the bond of iniquity." It is up to Dave to write the
next line.
That's all that comes to mind.
The first installment of Revelation is forthcoming. As to
format I
think that a LIMIT of one post a day on prophesy with no
more that ONE REBUTTAL per day would be in order. If you
have to write more that ~300 words or so split it into two
days since this is going to take some time anyway and we
will have to "chew" some things more than others. I guess
my point is to slow down
and do this right.
Getting that Holy Ghost "tingle" in my fingers!
