Hello Andy:
Yes, the Book of Job is interesting for discussion. I accept your input and
appreciate your analysis. Of course we are all subject to stand corrected on
our understanding.
I don't mind you quoting from various versions, such as the NIV. I realize
that the Living Bible is a paraphrase (which I find distasteful personally)
but nevertheless, the insight helps. I was pointed to a website which dealt
with the various versions of the Bible. I intend to do that. I haven't yet
been able to check it out. I am not dogmatic on the KJV (which may raise up
more discussions). I don't think that there is a perfect translation on the
earth. I believe the Word of God is inspired, but a translation isn't.
Personally, I use the New King James Version. I like the footnotes in the
Spirit-Filled Life Bible. I do have King James that I used from time to
time, but the NKJV and NIV, to me, are much better translations. I've
studied New Testament Greek, but am not an authority on translations.
Read from you later-
