I have been seeing a lot of "stuff" thrown back and forth this last
month or so and I cannot hold back my feelings any longer.
I will try and break my thoughts down so I don't just start rambling
here.
1. I see nothing wrong with a Brother posting a Bible study about
Revelations,
EVEN if it is 15 parts long.
2. If we all sat around not discussing our different views about
Prophecy,
how will we ever know if we are right or wrong?
3. This is a discussion list called Higher-fire. The definition for
"discussion"
is: "to argue or consider carefully by presenting the various
sides. I agree
with Bro Tyler and Bro Masoner that some people do need to step
back
and think about what they are going to say before saying it. I
also feel
though that there is going to be disagreement or "arguments" about
some things sometimes and we can't squelch every little bit out.
4. When someone gets on here and tries to rip apart the Bible with
false
thinking, I see no wrong in defending God's Word! In fact, I think
when
someone does attack it and we stand around silently, our silence is
in a way, agreeing with them. I will stand! I will defend! We are
not
only to be on the offense with God's word, but the defense too!
5. When defending God's Word or our belief in God's Word, ALL of us on
this list and wherever else it might occur, need to remember that
we are
of God, not this world and therefore have no need to be rude, or
ungodly
towards ANYONE! If they do not receive what we say, we are to
shake the
dust off, and go on. There is NO need to argue if they have their
ways
set in stone. Only God can break that mold.
6. If someone is on this list that is not in the truth, welcome them in
and
be a witness to them! If they become unruly, after trying to
correct them
twice, we should do as the church of Corinth (I think it was them
anyways)
was told to do, turn them away. Hindering the spirit can be a bad,
bad thing.
7. Remember, the world is watching each and everyone of us, on this
list
by way of archives, or by our everyday activities. I have seen a
few posts
on here by fellow Apostolics that are not spiritually wrote. I am
one to
admit, that at times I have done the same thing. Let's all
practice what
we preach and MAYBE even pray before replying.
8. Smile more, laugh a little, be silent a little. :P :) :O
9. FINALLY.........
Bro Tyler, Bro Masoner, And all of you who spiritually contribute to
this
awesome discussion list........A BIG THANK YOU! I cannot begin to
say how much this list has helped me through the past few years.
Not only has it shown me that the internet CAN be a good place, it
has
also made this world a lot smaller. I do not feel that this list
needs to
be restricted or dissected. I only feel that we need to think
before we reply.
"It is better to keep ones mouth shut and be thought a fool, than to open
ones mouth and remove all doubt!"
God Bless,
