Amen.
Most have you probably heard another explaination of how we are more
than conquerers.
The man who goes out into a pirze fighting ring starts by training
hard, and making himself available to total recreation at the hands
of a trainer. He works and sweats and prepares with all dilligence.
Then the fight comes, and the pain has only started... round after
round he goes toe to toe with another who is determined to take away
all of his vitality.
But, at the end of the contest, the referee comes, at the bidding of
the judges and takes the hands of that bloodied and weary man and
raises them up! He is the conqueror, and to reward and certify this,
he is given a check, sometimes more than a million dollars!
The conqueror goes home, and there he greets his wife who loves him
for his nobility and strenth and is ever so proud she is his. The
figher pulls out the check and hands it to his wife.
He is a conqueror. She is more than a conqueror!
Yeah, its funny, but isnt it true?? Jesus Christ, the bridegoom,
stands and knocks. We look out at him and see a mighty conqueror, and
in his hand the keys of hell and death. Who, that knew Him would not
love Him! And imagine - the riches of heaven, won by His willingness
to enter into the ring and suffer, are handed to us for no other
reason than love for us. Arent you glad when he comes "HOME" it is to
our house?
