REVELATION GIVEN TO PREACH

When John ate the book, it tasted like honey. This describes how
one receives revelation of the means of redeeming mankind.

When the lamb went to take the book, He was already slain. This
connects with the thought that Christ ascended to the Father
after His death and resurrection to present His blood.

Jesus saith unto her, Mary. She turned herself, and saith
unto him, Rabboni; which is to say, Master. Jesus saith
unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to
my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I
ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God,
	and your God.
     John 20:16-17

Later He appeared to the disciples having already ascended. We
know He ascended because Mary could not touch Him before He
ascended, and He allowed Thomas to touch Him later.

Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and
behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust
it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing. And
Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.
     John 20:27-28

Jesus told Mary the words which comfort every soul who longs to
know if there has been a way made to be reconciled to God
after having living in sin for so long.

Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended
to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them,
I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God,
	and your God.
     John 20:17

THE WORK FINISHED AND MAN'S LOST POSITION OF POWER
                      REDEEMED

He told Mary that God was her God and was Her Father now! And
whereas man was at war with God, and was enemy to God,
Jesus said...:

Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the
week, when the doors were shut where the disciples
were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus
and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be
unto you. And when he had so said, he showed unto
them his hands and his side. Then were the disciples
glad, when they saw the Lord. Then said Jesus to
them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath
sent me, even so send I you.
     John 20:19-21

PEACE be unto you! No more war!!! Reconciliation! Redemption!

Between John 20:17 and 20:19, when Jesus said, Peace be unto
you," Jesus had gone to the throne and took the book and
redeemed the possession! Rev. The events of 5:6-9 fill in
the gap between John 20:17 and verse 19!!

And since He bought back Adam's power and dominion for
mankind, Jesus said...

Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my
Father hath sent me, even so send I you. And when he
had said this, he breathed on them, and saith
unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost: Whose soever
sins ye remit, they are remitted unto them; and whose
soever sins ye retain, they are retained.
     John 20:21-23

He gave them POWER. Adam's former power! The Holy Ghost is power.

But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is
come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both
in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria,
and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
     Acts 1:8

Jesus foreshadowed the Spirit baptism of power when He breathed
on them and told them to receive the Holy Ghost. We know this
was mere foreshadowing, for He breathed on them and said,
"Receive ye the Holy Ghost." He then told them in Acts 1:8
that they would later receive power when they would receive
the Holy Ghost. His breath foreshadowed the mighty rushing
wind of Acts 2:1-4!
