Is it your opinion, Brother Blume, that Babel was a literal place at a
specfic time in history?
Is it not possible the Old Testament writers also abstracted to a
greater degree than is typically allowed for?
Can we find a time in history when men and women were not worshippers
of self, and independant ? Perhaps the time least likely to fit that
desciption the era in which an institutional church ruled with a
strong arm, and kept people from reading scripture and from gaining
any sense of independance causing them to look to the church for
salvation. If this is true, then the medievel church opposed the
anti-christ rather than working as the mystery of iniquity as many
have long felt.
These only a few of many interesting concepts.
