I always remember Lazarus when Jesus called him from
the tomb. Jesus said "Lazarus come forth!" and then after
he had come out He then told "those who had witnessed" the
resurrection
to "loose" him.
It is through this "communion with the Body" that free
us as well as the rebirth! It is our task as the witnesses
to the resurrection to "loose" our brethern from the bounds
that were prepared for there death.
Someone asked about binding and loosing, this is part
of it and is accomplished by forgiveness of the sins by the
congregation when a brother or sister repents. Jesus calls
them from the tomb of their sin and then commands US to
"free" them through restoration. Jesus heals the wound
even unto death but it is the duty of the witnesses to
complete the process by removing the "stigma" or brand of
slavery by releasing them.
Is it just me or did I miss the part about
"discipline/punishment?"
