Amway, And other "schemes"

I was tricked into visiting a Strategic Telecom Systems, Inc. (STS)
meeting
by my then girlfriend.  Her mom was always trying to "push" these
phone cards on me and told me how great a money maker it could be.
At the meeting, I was shocked to see that a large percentage of the
people in the central Indiana meeting was Apostolic.  
	Andy, even though you say that everything is a pyramid, remember
that there is a line that these companies eventually cross which make
these "pyramids" illegal.  Indiana government even says that pyramid
schemes are illegal.  I think
that a majority of these marketing companies ARE illegal and WILL take
a lot of peoples money.   
	I think it is best to steer away from things like, Amway, STS,
"miracle"
diet pills, etc.  I know of one preacher who was ready to quit his
worldly job to
start pushing one companies "miracle" vitamins.  As he read the brochure
to me, it talked about getting people under you and slowly raising up the

pyramid, which was diagramed on the next page, and becoming the highest
paid member.  Now there is nothing wrong with making money, if it is
legal,
but the scheme was as some would say, "to good to be true."   We all know
that the old saying goes, "if it is to good to be true, it isn't."  
	On a side note, one of the vitamins he was going to sale, was a
new miracle breakthrough in which when taken, would attach itself to fat
cells
and the fat cells would mysteriously be flushed out of the body.  Fat
cells do not
leave the body!  They only grow smaller or larger depending on the intake
of
fatty substances and the burning of fat for energy.  The other vitamin
supposedly
"Cleaned" harmful things from cells.  Biology shows us that if a cell is
attacked
by something harmful and it cannot fight it off, the cell will destroy
itself.  These
vitamins are basically a pseudo-"hope".    All these vitamins americans
take....
we have the richest urine in the world.
