On the Look Out

As I have communicated privately to Bro. Basset, I find this thread a little
disconcerting.  The very title of the thread implies a sort of 'hunt.'  Cer-
tainly, there have been those who have forsaken the truth or sold out to some
adulterated form of the Gospel, but I do not see the profit (especially for this
list) in discussing the failures of our brethren or setting up a list of 'has-
beens' who are now turned charismatic or degenerated to a state of backslid-
deness.  I simply fear that this sort of discussion, if not carefully moderated
and properly motivated, could become a hub of gossip and tale-swapping.  Our
time would be better spent in prayer for those whom we know have been taken in
a fault that God might restore them to the Church rather than speaking in
idleness about their whereabouts or there present situations.

Just some thoughts offered in humility.
